WTB: Cheap Legacy of Impreza for rally car
looking to stay below $2000 if we can help it but willing to some offers. don't care much about miles. prefer a impreza. just want something with at least a straight frame, rest of the body can be beat up. prefer a manual. willing to consider ones with engine issues. this is just going to be a rally car and wanted to get into something soon before the season ends. cash in hand. thanks.

craigslist. you can find 1st gen (89-94) legacys all day on CL for under $1000 but 93-01 imprezas awd are harder to find (at least for under 1500 with 5mt and awd). FWD ones crop up for decently cheap more often but the fwd->awd swap is a headache unless you have another car to easily take it all off of
ive been trying to find a 95-99 legacy sedan 5mt for under $1500 and is almost impossible Last edited by elislider; 05-18-2009 at 02:58 PM. |

As they say, snooze you loose. Imprezas under $2K show up often enough, but they don't hang around long. Three years ago when they were really scarce I hit craigslist three/four times a day just so I wouldn't miss one. You'll find one; just requires some patience and luck.

If you are really going to rally on a budget, find an already prepped 2wd rally car.
If by rally you mean rallycross, then please ignore the above. |
