Default Who else is freezing at their office/cubicle/work?

I've got a rather nice 60 degree air blowing right into my "cubbicle". Building people here think that since it's 90 degree outside, it should be 60 degrees inside. It's the opposite in the winter as well.

Thanks. I'm the only fool on my train that wears long sleeves in the summer and short sleeves in the winter, thanks to that damn vent over my noggin.

They're blasting the ac here at work. No sweater for me though, I'm naturally insulated.

Welcome to the club.

I work with a bunch of fatties apparently, so the AC is permanently on 65 or so. I'm not fat in any way, shape, or form, and I have the vent over my cube.

I often have frostbite by the time I go home. It's just stupid.

However, I found out part of the problem. The A/C techs use a laser-pointer temp thing and aim it at your desk, cube wall, etc., to guage the temp. Well, everyone's computers are under their desks, so the desks will ALWAYS be warmer than room temp due to the heat of the CPU warming up the desk.

I have a thermometer on my wall. 68 degress.

Morons.

meh, bring a sweater to work.. unless there's some kind of "This Office Must Look Like the Movie "Office Space"" code where you work..

after spending saturday in a 90-degree parking lot i'm pretty happy sitting here in the slightly-too-cold air conditioned studio..

My office is fine, but for some reason the cafeteria is always about 62 degrees. I'm assuming it's because the kitchen is hot, in which case it's fine as I don't want the cooks sweating in the soup.
