Help!! 2013 Wrx
so i got my 2013 wrx in october. Yesterday in the snow, i decided to go slide in the snow with a few friends. I was sliding from 3500rpm-5000 and shifting into second. I took a turn and when i went to put it into second it was as if i missed second but i know i couldnt have. I went back to put it in first and it blocked me out. I said to myself no way my trans gave out. It wasnt as if i was launching it or something so i thought it shouldnt have happened (correct me if im wrog) Omw home launching of second i came to a red light in neutral. Then second blocked me out. I drove about 15 city miles launching off 3rd it was a PAIN! Now my clutch is gone and my 1st and 2nd. I have a turboback, intake and a accessport. I was thinking putting it back to stock and unmarrying cobb. Would subaru cover the transmission?

A lot depends on your VIN. You should post the last 8 numbers of it, just so Subaru can read your post and flag your vin for abuse and modifications. Then when your wanker butt returns to stock to try to get something you screwed up fixed under warranty, the dealer can have a good laugh.

Take it in and be prepared to potentially pay for the entire repair. If you treat your new car like a toy, then this stuff can happen.

Yea be ready to dish cash bc even though u put it back to stock they can back track when the ecu has been flashed with an access port or been custom tuned then theyll say we set the boost to 10.7psi in 1st n 2nd gear so u dont blow them 14.3 in the rest and ask u how u managed to do that so think of a good story lol

in his "slight" defense. it sounds like hes using the word "launched" as in he started from a stop in X gear because Y gear was "blocked out" as in he had to feather the clutch. not a full on clutch dump at redline.
but no, subaru should not fix your transmission regardless. |

The ECU uses a solid state ROM chip(s). Any time the ECU is flashed, the action is recorded in the chip's memory. There is no way to mask it and the dealer can easily find out. ;]

I have no idea how old the op is but if he is still living with his parents I can see how the conversation went:
Mom/Dad: "if you keep driving like that you will ruin your brand new car!" Juan: "No, mom/dad I'm not hurting it at all its made to handle this kind of driving" |
