Post I got my Prodrive/RB5 wing finally (pics)

<IMG SRC="http://www.impreza-across.thepond.com/temp/dsc01566.jpg" border=0>

<IMG SRC="http://www.impreza-across.thepond.com/temp/dsc01569.jpg" border=0>

ok.. so for the most part I am pleased..

but there is one thing that is bugging me. they "widened" the mounting holes with out asking me about it, I would have told them that it will fit.

so, the bases aren't exactly flush on the trunk lid and I fear there is a little bit of an arch to the top of the wing.. not sure if I'm seeing things or not because that's what I want to see..

I am going to take it up with the shop and see what can be done with it. because I know the wing is supposed to be flush at the base.. and it's not.

I'll let you know what happens.

but other than that...

how does it look?

GRRRRrrrrr!!!

I looked at it closer..
and the gaps under the inside of the base on each side (the gaps that shouldn't be there)..
well, not only are they there.. they are uneven. so the wing is actually sitting alittle un even, you can kinda see it in the second pic..
Grrr..

I am going to take it up with the shop because I am not completely satisfied with it. but I am sure they can resolve it.

but otherwise I am happy with the work because the trunk lid was repainted along with pretty much the whole driver's side of the car. and a few dents were removed.. and it looks perfect except for the small issues with the wing.

I'll let you know how it goes.

Thanks everyone for the positive comments..
honestly.. it's a little big, but it'll grow on me I am sure.

oh..

the shop is

Custom and Collision in Derry NH.
good shop and I'd still suggest them to anyone.

just don't have them install prodrive wings.. heh.

I almost wish I had asked them to just paint it to match and leave it off..
but I didn't

Let see, picnic table taken, pommel horse taken (very good one), we forgot large carrying handle.

Looks very good, now if you can get the rim fixed.. You can't even tell Amy's rim got repaired.

I was speechless - it looks like a hydroplane. It makes the car look fast standing still.

Then I saw the price - a pair of STi V6 seats seems like a bargain now...

what did they charge to paint it? What do shops typically charge to paint parts like front spoilers, side skirts, etc.?

possibly a turbo to back up the look.. and a STi front lip.

but on the same note.. I am not sure it's working for me.. I have to get used to it.

but I might just sell it.

will look complete then.
