Made it...Ok, I rode in both the white monster STi, and the silver BRZ, loved the BRZ, but I'll stick with an STI. I can't really see Subaru offering the BRZ for me, ever. Too many changes to make it AWD.
Thanks to Joe & Shaun for the rides, I do miss it, I just don't have the liquid assets to have a race car, with the tow vehicle & trailer I would need to get it to the events.
Well, maybe in the future I'll get a set of street tires, just for racin', and run in the Street tire classes.
Had a great time at our rescheduled Memorial Day pool party. I got to watch my grandson try to drown himself. He's fine. It took him about 5 minutes to get comfy in the pool again.

Chuck, I took 2.5 seconds off my time after you rode with me. Wish you could have felt THAT run!

I hate having to make customer service calls. They all assume we are all idiots. Had to call Hoover today about a cordless vacuum, we have had problems from day 1 with it. I have been on the phone with them doing their step by step instructions, and still coming up with the charger indicating an error, and they still don't seem to believe there is a problem. To get it to charge, you have to plug in the charger, wait for blue light to turn off, plug in battery, blue light comes on. When fully charged, you will see a slow pulsing light. If there is an error, the light flashes. Well, the damned thing flashes. To reset, place the battery in the vacuum, run for 10 seconds, and start over. You have to do this 3-4 times, every time you want to charge it. Then sometimes it fools you, doesn't start flashing for 3-4 minutes, so off you go to do other stuff, come back by the charger later & the bastard is flashing again, start the whole process over with the reset./RANT

Joe, were the tires complaining?

There are a few out there that are not. But, what color, maybe we can figure it out for you, My wife works near Jones & Commonwealth, the next major road to the south, but drives a silver '08 WRX. She sees Subarus very often out there.e My son, drives a sedona red, '03 WRX, he works just off of Pritchard near Imeson, the light before the interstate. So if they are out there, they have seen them as well.

You haven't seen the elusive BRZ in person? Stop by Subaru of Jacksonville on Atlantic BLVD between 8 and 5, Monday through Friday. I'll let you have a look

Those A6's don't make much sound one way or the other.

But I was definitely much closer to the limit!

Once they break loose they howl pretty good. But, you're right, one of the difficulties of that tire, figuring out that fine line between, Holy **** that was fast, and Awww **** that was fast.

Au contraire mon frere... My last event included a spin, and the only sound the A6s made was of shredding rubber. No howl at all like the kumhos...

Hi guys, I recently bought my 2nd WRX. I'm wondering if any one here is interested in trading an STi trunk for a wingless or WRX spoiler trunk. PM me please. I hope this isn't against any forum rules, but hey this is the Jax forum right?

May have been the surface difference, mine was a 180 after the second turn at a Roebling Road AutoX event. The closest I have ever been to a spin. I guess I didn't push hard enough.

Sure, it's really kind of boring compared to the WRX/STI. Feels like the traction control is taking over

or maybe not so typical...

Wife just sent me a photo of one of my baseboards separating from the drywall. That probably means the house flooded a little bit, and I have water under my hardwood floor.
