Seems like this concept would have been a better option to sell as the XV Crosstrek rather than a modified + raised Impreza Sport.

Eh, skateboard design from Tesla would be better for lower center of gravity.

Would you still be able to run the batteries flat on the floor like the Tesla when this version also has a engine up front? Basically same setup as Fisker Karma.

Engine is forward of the axle, batteries are between. No issues.

There was an interview posted on this site recently saying that Subaru has no plans for the foreseeable future of releasing a plug-in hybrid unless the market demands it. But how about all wheel drive with electric motors? Does anyone know if there are plans to put that on a production Sube?

It looks silly, I don't know if it could carry anything or tow, but I like the concept and hope that we end up with something like this or the outlander PHEV or other things that take advantage of independent motors. This is better though.

It's kinda hard to justify a firebreathing car in an era of CAFE regulations that give exceptions for larger cars and not AWD.

Ugly.. now that they can do.

I don't think so and I firmly believe they will show us soon that they haven't.

Let's see, for Mitsu it's Zeroes and TVs, and for Subaru it's Crocodile Dundee, right?

I thought that Subaru's 2004-withdrawal failures to make competitive rally car was what made them famous in the rally world

I kid....but in all reality 2003 was a decade ago....
