please don't. it would look TERRIBLE unless you painted over it and only left the CF vents exposed, even then would just be rice IMO.

buy it and flip it is right.

i dont think it would look terrible. i've said the same about similar hoods and then my buddy got one on his evo and it looked pretty damn good.

i could prolly only flip it for like 700 or 800 bucks anyway

anyone know if that brand has a lot of knock off versions?

the extra vents would actually help out a lot with heat soak issues in the summer as well

IMO that kind of hood only looks good when the car looks race prepped. If you had that and the WRC style wing (I know yours isn't a hatch), lowered on Prodrives and a nice diffuser set up. If you go just the hood it looks aggressive but then it doesn't flow with the rest of the car.

it will flow if you paint it and leave the vents exposed CF.

is it seibon? if so then they do not make knockoffs.

if anything this hood would look better... http://www.fastwrx.com/secwho20im.html

and then you paint it like this:

Change your settings, sir. I have 50 posts per page and I see plenty of 2011's.

I don't mind the pre-2011 pics either since I plan on getting a pre-2011 bumper anyways. I'm becoming more inspired!

Anybody have a picture of a 2011 sedan with single tip exhaust instead of the quad tips? I.e. a 2008-2010 sedan SPT cat-back on a 2011 sedan

Rancer,

FWIW, I have experienced first hand Seibon and VIS's quality. I would say they are about on par with a slight edge given to Seibon. However, from my research back in the day, these were the only two companies that put out a consistent product in the CF hood industry. It may have changed by now, not sure. The one you have there is a direct replica of the Varis hood, which looks great if tracked. Seems a little too much for a DD though.

I also would like to see more pics when you get a chance, further from the car. I plan on buying this part in the next few months.

I have a question about the STI badge: How is it stuck on there? I don't want the STI badge when I get mine since I have a WRX. Is it just stuck on there or part of the molding somehow? Could you take a close up shot of it, please?

Thanks again! That's hotness.
That's where I got it from. The badge is just a tiny sticker. I put it on after I got it painted. I like it because I didn't transfer my sti badge when I got the new trunk, so it's the only sti symbol on the back now.
