'03 Hybrid, ATP3076 446whp/421ft-lbs
Just got tuned today by Job @ HB Speed with awesome results. 91 octane map and Q16map both on the same plot. Enjoy

^^Congratulations!! Jon is a great tuner.. Your car should definately see low 120's in the 1/4.. just for reference for people that dont know how this dyno reads 485whp = 127mph traps in a 04-06 STI
It seems like the bolt-on 30R variants usually make about the same HP on pump gas as the rotated GT30R's do, it's when you add race gas/high boost that the rotated turbos really shine. For example my car on same dyno and 91oct made ~385whp @ 20psi, 110oct made ~460whp @ 25psi, and C16 made 497whp @ 28psi, and we still had more in it. You can see as the boost level raises between the bolt on's and rotated kits that the psi/hp gains begin to become more drastic.. Also i noticed between yours and my dyno graphs is that the rotated turbos seem to hold hp better at redline. But anyways you made great power, im sure it feels like a rocket! When it feels like ur nuts go up into your chest you know u have a fast car congrats and enjoy the car! Hope you can make it to the 1/4 soon, i'd love to see some times out of this beast.. Stock 5-speed with 130K miles on it.
...and before you lecture me about the fragility of the stock 5-speed, hold your breath. I was making similar torque with my 18G setup earlier for over a year with a few drag strip visits thrown in there. I may or may not break the 5-speed before I get my STi tranny and I'm cool with that but how you drive does greatly effect how long your tranny last. It gets old hearing the same shiite over and over and over |

^^When you get the STI tranny are you gonna do the 04-06 gear ratio or are you gonna do the 07+ gears?

I want the 07 gears but if the price is right I'll take anything. Currently in the saving phase but if a deal pops up I can get the money.

thats my boy, finally your day has come, did jon recommend any bigger injectors or was this all your set-up needed? I ask cause everyone I heard of running 30r's use 850 from what I've seen, but I've also read about crzy people running 35r's on 750's.
Anywho |

I'm going to do more logging tonight but IIRC I was in the high 80's maybe 90 something for IDC.
Jon ask me if I wanted to go for more on pump as the car seemed to want to take it but I told him I was happy with 406 @ 21psi |

^yea 406whp on pump is way cool. Thatll run a high 11 for sure. I ran a 11.9 @ 115 on my pump gas map a long time ago when i first got my car tuned, at that time it made 392whp on a dynojet.. But this was almost a perfect run to hit that, took 3 trips to the track to finally hit an 11 sec pass on pump gas..
Glad to see ur cars finally making some awesome power! Reeally curious to see how that 5 speed does in the 1/4, you should be able to rip some crazy times with it as long as it holds up.. Hell with the way better gearing for the 1/4 that the 5 speed has i wouldnt be surprised if you pulled off low 11's at all.. Hell, with the 5 speed and perfect driving/perfect weather a 10.999 might even be possible.. The STI 6 speed (at least the short 04-06 STI 6 speeed) really kills our cars in the 1/4. Im deep into 5th gear in the 1/4, and 4 shifts in the 1/4 is just too many shifts and it really hurt your time.. Hopefully you can get in a good run or two at the track with that 5 speed so we can see how much of a difference the gearing makes... |

Not 1 year long but he isn't the speediest. I think is a couple few months but a lot of that time was waiting on the ceramic coaters over X-mas. Sometimes Dan has to many things on his plate but his work is outstanding. Luckily I could drive out to his shop and "motivate" him to get mine done sooner. I don't think he's a bad guy.

Great results!
I am in the process of doing a similar build ej257 with cp pistons, kelford 276/272 cams, +1mm valves. EVEEEEERYthing from mouth to @$$ has been PnP by me. But have a DOM3 with 44mm ewg. Im also running on MY05 5spd. for now 123,000+ miles... Ian, |

Nice numbers, but it seems a bit laggy for that turbo. It looks like you're not hitting full boost until around 4500RPM. What are you using for boost control?

Jon steer's everyone towards the pro-drive 3 port boost solenoid. He's very reasonable about making numberous maps while its on the dyno (Cobb AP v2.0) for a tiny bit extra, you can have as many as you want & theres no point in having a manual bc. I have 6 maps for instance, & would love a valet one as well, just incase the car ever has to get out of my hands.

Regardless of the slightly slower spool, 450whp on this dyno will trap low 120's, mid 120's with the 5 speed in it most likely, and run mid to mid-low 11's with perfect driving and weather.. Car is definately a beast and will smoke 99% of cars. Enjoy! |

Yeah, I found my BOV hose on my APS FMIC leaking and the purge solenoid kept blowing off the manifold.
Sheet, I just got everything back together the day before and I couldn't run it because I didn't have a map and was locked out with ECUtek. Fine tuning with Jon after I rectify some problems should bring spool down a bit. I'm going to log and print out one of Airboys dyno plots tonight or tomorrow. |
