Bad alternator? Bad ground issue? You can turn the fans on at will with RomRaider. I was just in that prompt over the weekend. I don't remember specifically, but I believe it's in the Switches menu.

How do you guys feel about buyin heavily modded cars like above. I learned soon time ago with my mustang that it is cheaper to buy a built motor that someone needs to sell than build one. But when I see an Sti or Wrx that has had a huge list like th above I shy away. I understand the want and why they did it but it tells me the person is into speed and likes to use it. I do to but I've grown up a lot and don't beat on my cars. I real particular on maintenance now too. I have a hard time wrapping my head around buying a heavily modded car unless I knew the person who owned it to know how it was driven. With the above I would assume its been ridden hard and put away wet on occasions. What do u think?

i wouldn't call those cars posted above "heavily" modded. As far as buying a built motor, it all depends on who built it. If a shop did the work and has all the paper work for it, no prob. If the guy built it in his garage.... I would stay away.

since he just chimmed in and seems like not many ppl know him. This was Nick Reids car.. I would call this "heavily modded"

I don't have a problem with modified cars for a good price. I also don't have a problem with a swapped car like Aron and Robs, because I know those guys and they seem knowledgeable enough that I'm not worried about how it was driven or built.

I drive it like I stole it! But I put parts that should allow me to do that.

Yep, I know both you and Rob drive hard, but you don't drive stupid (clutch dump and gear slamming for example), so I'd have no problem buying your cars.

I was thinking the same thing. It sounds like what you want is a Hawkeye 2.5i, and swap in a STi drivetrain. Can you do that kind of work? With your cash you can easily buy the car, donor car, and have 5k left over.

I suggest you do what Aron said: make a list of what your dream Subaru has, then either build it, or search until you find it.
