Finally did my DIY Front Lip....
Ran over to Home Depot this morning to pick up the materials. Took a few quick shots before it started raining.... better pics to come
(the car looks so high up cuz its half-way up the driveway - It eased the install, Ill take better picks when I get a chance) What do you guys think? I mounted it with just 3M double stick tape ::Hope it Holds:: Its outdoor and heavy duty... So far so good!!

I don't mean to bash...but what is the point of a lip if it is not solid? What happens at WOT? This lip must flap around...

i'm sure he had 27k that he just handed over to the dealership... some people have car payments and other bills that take precidence over a $300 exterior mod.
to the op, looks good! |

nice! i actually did mine this morning. i'm still on the fence about it, leaning more towards taking it off since the unevenness is bugging me.
i'd love to get a v-limited, but i don't see the point in putting $200+ into a lip that has a very high chance of getting ripped off by road kill. |

Thanks for all the feedback guys!
Don't get me wrong I would love to get a Genuine V-Limited Lip, but this does the trick for now, It was a quick and simple DIY . Like what was stated above its basically there to protect the bumper, ::and looks preety good in the process:: and in case it rips off it wont cost a small fortune to replace. I'll take further and full pics as soon as I get a chance. |

Its a rubbery foam light wieght material. Its actually Garage door bottom seal. I figured since it meant to be scraped or slightly dragged along the concrete it should take a scrape or two. Since its fairly light I thought the heavy duty 3M tape should hold it....
heres the orginal thread (that has a pic of the package) its been done on preety much every year: http://forums.nasioc.com/forums/showthread.php?t=395394 I used the frost king nail on rubber one, and used heavy duty 3M double sided OUTDOOR tape to apply. |
