Subaru Stars MOD Suggestions for Impreza 2.5i NO TURBO !!

I've been searching for mods to my car on the internet and haven't been able to find anything for the 07 model. My friends recommended an INJEN cold air intake but none available for the 07 model. I also saw some from Fujita but they were near $400. So need some serious input. I'm not tryin to get WRX type power asap or anything. But even a lil bit performance helps. SO please suggest all you can and provide as many link as possible. Thanks.

you won't get near wrx power with little mods like an intake and exhaust anyway... but it will make your car more fun to drive

I'd say you're better off trying to make your car out-corner a WRX with some nicer struts/springs, swaybars and stickier tires

I couldn't find any intakes for your car, but perrin makes a lightweight crank pulley and you can always get a catback exhaust...

I'm in the exact same boat. I have an 07 2.5i and my friend has some stock STi parts I'm considering buying... STi axleback exhaust, STi rear swaybars, (from the friend) and the Imp 06 Injen cold air intake (I'd buy this new)

Do you guys have any comments?

I don't know how much it would apply to t he 07s, but do a search for Subiesports project "Zero to Hero 2.5 RS". They have done just about every mod you can to that car, and they are still working on it. The goal is to have it beat an STi while keeping it NA.

im sure all intakes made for the 06 work for the 07.

and N/A cars are better off on the A-Xtrack than trying to beat an STI or even WRX in a straight.

Best mod for a NA subie is a turbo engine swap with FMIC.

I agree with the getting modifications for handling. The usual route for N/A cars is intake, headers, exhaust on most cars really those would give you some happiness for now. I think an intake from an 06 fits to the 07 but am not 100%

Also to the above poster the thread says no turbo swap, so while it is probably the best power mod to swap engines it is not what the OP is looking for.

Best mod for an N/A Scooby is suspension/tires/brakes.
When your car is unstoppable in the corners, then one can begin to worry about the straights in between the corners.

I completely agree with tehsbean. It's a great start that will get you comfortable with working on your car too.

I've been told a catback exhaust isn't that great. Whats the difference between a cat exhaust and the other? And that opinion was coming from a guy who has a Eclipse GSR totally modded up.
