Bucky92,
Thanks for the info on the interior... I'm glad you're enjoying your subie.

It would be great if all you '08 owners did a full review of your Imprezas after a few months of ownership, Please

you could take the rear swaybar from the wrx and put that on a 2.5i

also go here http://www.subaru.jp/accessory/impreza/index.html and find a jdm part and order it through http://www.japanparts.com

just be careful of left/right parts

mihow, I can second Bucky on the interior cleans up easily except for the console/drink holder area. the only complaints I have thus far are the under body noise and the fact that either I have completely forgotten how to launch a 5 speed or the clutch is extremely fickle... I still get that burnt clutch smell if I don't take off perfectly... even in reverse... anyone else smelling their clutches?

I noticed the same thing..smelly clutch. Real picky..wonder if it has something to do with the RPMs not dropping like they should?

Picked up my Dark Gray 2.5i 5MT + premium right before New Year. Replaced my old '97 impreza. Already ordered splash guards and will install them asap. Looking forward to install sport grille later on.
Engine feels a bit noisy after 3K rpm, but I hope it will softer after the break-in period and on better oil. And I do occasionally get clutch smell, but I think this is because of my errors due to bulky boots.

Question - is there a coin holder? I could not find one

at a little over 3000 miles, the car is still buzzy.

We just got our 2.5i. Topaz Gold Automatic (the wife needs to drive it). I LOVE the car and I come from owning a modded WRX. It handles way better than my stock wrx did and it is not nearly as slow as the Outback is thank God. The color is amazing and I wish they made it for the wrx. My only gripe is the light colored interior. Although it is very nice, you have to be really careful with it. I think i am gonna scotchguard ours this weekend. I am going to get the Splashguards, the rear Bumper Protector, and the rubber trunk tray. Eventually I would like to get new wheels and a sportgrille, however I don't know if this will ever happen. I'd rather save for our next car which will probably be another turbo suby. I love this car though and I do not care that it's an auto because it is still a lot of fun to drive. I believe mine might be the only TGM 08 on here so I will post pics once she is washed and has the new equipment on her.

Picked up an 08 2.5i Auto in Dark Metallic Grey also got the premium package.

This is my first awd and I love it. The grip is just appalling, who knew having 2 extra wheels could make such a big difference. With the recent rain here on the west coast, I feel safe driving this impreza.
On top of the awd, the suspension is nice and comfortable over ill-maintained roads. Larger than avg sized speed bumps..what are they? Initially, I was worried about it being too soft;body roll. But after I grew a few big ones, I discovered that the car could handle and grip amazingly.

I could honestly go on, but to sum it up.
Everyday I get into my Subaru, and everday I appreciate another new aspect of my Subaru with all the thoughtful engineering that gets me from point A to B.

I'd like to do this actually. I assume it will fit up perfectly? How would I get my hands on a stock wrx rear sway bar? and would it come with all the hardware to mount it, bushings, etc?

Thanks
Chava

Edit: Thanks Zordos, I was considering ordering some of those. Let us know how it goes with making them fit properly.

American 2.5i Prem doesn't get the WRX side skirt and bumpers like we do with the Sports pkg.

Just a question for the rest of you 08 Owners...Are you as tired as I am buy these other Subaru owners saying how Ugly our cars are..yet 98% of them havent gone to look at one in person....only going by pictures. If I remember right..everyone complained about the bugeye when it was released...and dont get me started on the Edsel fronted ones.. I am just starting to get pissed by these shallow closed minded people. I think we all have BEAUTIFUL cars.. I Love mine...or maybe I just have a thing for ugly..I also have an XT6 ...not that is an UGLY car....Just need to do alittle more to mine so it isnt so Grandma Grocery GoGet-R ( OK well I am an old lady so I quess itfits huh? LMAO...BTW Had mine up to 115mph yesterday..a BMW pissed me off..road smooth and didnt even notice it was going that fast)

Default 2008 4 door 2.5i premium

I have had my 08 4 door 2.5i w/premium package for about a week now. Kinda regretting buying the auto instead of the manual, but other than that Pretty happy with the car. Handles Utah snow storms much better than the 05 Civic si that I traded in for this. Still trying not to beat the crap out of it too hard, but the acceleration is pretty good for a 4 door car I can get my family into.

Pictures of the car do it no justice. It looks small and scrawny in most of the photos I've seen. However, in person it's a different story. I'm in love with my 08 hatchback. They really did a good job on the styling. I love the long front end too, looks sexy. Anyhow, don't let it bother you, you have a bad ass car. heres a dancing banana

The 4 door, in my mind, does look a bit plain. Not ugly by any means, just plain. Looking at the car though, it reminds me of the 90's styling. It's kind of a nice retro subaru look on the vehicle. It gives you a nostalgic feeling. The hatchback is where it's at though, for me anyhow. = )
