take it around your yard after a nice hard rain. Powersliding laps around your house is fun. The neighborhood association doesnt appreciate it much tho, i tell ya what...

Take it up to Crown King. Head up the 17 for a while and youll see the exit a little before the rest stop/scenic view at the top of the first big up hill section.. Its like 26 mile dirt road to the top of the mountains. I did it in my moms old Ford Taurus.

... so it's not like Tucson, where "passable w/ most vehicles" = boulders that require 30" tires to clear? Hmm. Never been to Crown King before...

Its very doable in a Subie. Crown King is a TINY little town at the top of the mountain. We went hiking a lot up there when I was a kid. But be careful because its a narrow road and there are some big drops when you get up towards the top. There was always a couple old cars at the bottom of some of the hill sides.

You beat me to it. I was just there this weekend, wishing i still had my subie. Some of the sections were pretty rough but for the most part nice wide graded dirt roads to NOT do some drifting.

I haven't done it since I was a kid, but I distinctly remember EVERY time we went, my Dad swearing his off at at the car in front of us going 1.5MPH... you WILL get stuck behind people that freak out on the road
