Default Tire size on stock rims?

Hi!

I am going to replace RE92 by Toyo Proxes 4 or Pirelli PZero Nero M&S (still trying to decide - which one to get!)
I will be putting new tires on stock rims.
Well, oem tire size is 205/55R16. I am thinking about getting 215/55R16. Is it a bad idea? I realize, that for the winter - narrow is better. But after winter ends, wider - better.
Please, need some help to decide about the size!

P.S. Will install new tires on my MY'04 WRX wagon and my wife's MY'02 WRX sedan.

Wider is better in the dry, but not at the expense of a taller sidewall. If you want wider tires, 225-50-16 on stock rims. If you want to keep all season traction then 205-55-16 - stock size is better.

Either of those tires mentioned, will feel much better for handling than an re92 of the same size.
