MBRP Catback + Bosal Downpipe = $599
We've got 3 MBRP Catback Systems instock. Will throw in a Bosal Twin Dump downpipe for $200 for a great deal at $599. Freight to most areas is approx $29. This is a great value and a fantastic sounding exhausts.

Hi slickvic,
The Bosal mates with the factory 3rd cat so you will still have the main(3rd) cat. Rich

this is a kickass deal! i paid 300 for my bosal dp alone (i coulda waited 3 months to get it at 250 but i'm impatient)
either way this is a great deal! the downpipe is great. plus you can be a little more environment friendly and keep that 3rd cat |

03WRX83 - I just PM'd you. But yes your understanding correctly. You get an MBRP Catback exhausts and Bosal downpipe. The MBPR includes a gasket for its two sections as well as replacement mounting bolts. There is no issue with keeping the donut gasket on the cat. The Bosal does not come with a replacement gasket and I don't have any in stock at the moment. Still looking for a good source other the the local dealer. Regarding the cel fix. I have the ScoobySport on the way, and have contacted PonyExpress to carry the Mil Eliminator.
Everyone else. I'll set up special part number in the exhaust section for anyone else interested the combo.

Hi phasedlife,
Yup, the Bosal is 2.5" as well. This is a good setup if you plan on keeping the factory 3rd cat. Rich

Why would anyone wnat to leave a restrictive factory cat in place?
Does anyone make a high flow cat that will bolt in place of the factory 3rd cat? |

Hi Davenow
Some of us guys have pretty strict emissions, and depending on where ones goes for inspection, leaving the 3rd is a reasonable option for some people, especially those that want to make some more power but aren't neccessaryily looking for the absolute biggest gains. There are plenty of options for removing the 3rd cat. There are a number of downpipes the go the extra length and require the removal of the 3rd cat. Sometimes they restrict what catback's will mate up. Other options are race pipes that replace the 3rd cat but use factory mount points and flanges that will match up with any catback that would support the factory cat. ScoobySport and others make such pipes, so there are plenty of options, which is good, since everybodies needs are a bit different. Regarding a high flow 3rd cat, RandomTechnology is probably the most popular. Rich

I didnt mean remove it alltogether, I just meant if you are going to all the trouble to replace your exh, you shouldnt put a highly restrictive factory cat back on. I would want a high flow unit that bolts in place. Does Random make one that bolts right in?

Davenow,
Random's got a high flow 3" downpipe w/Cat and and high flow 3rd cat that are bolt-on specific to the WRX. You need to mate a 3" catback to finish of the job from the turbo back.

Yes sir. They're $229 + shipping(approx $10-20). The last one is going out with an MBRP. I hope to have some more in late next week. Rich

Does the MBRP exhaust drone on the highway at all? Any experience on the highway with any of the cats out in addition to having the MBRP catback on? Relatively how loud IS it compared to the Prodrive exhaust and whatnot?
Thanks. |

CyC - I tested the MBRP for just under a month, but without the downpipe installed. It's loudness level falls into the catagory of being louder than the Prodrive, but quieter than just about the rest out there. It's on the level of the ScoobySport, with a similiar sound. It does not drone anywhere in the RPM range. I've gone straight to redine and it sounds frickin sick(in a good way). Never loud, just aggressive. At about 5K it changes character and sounds downright mean. At highway cruise you've just got a very nice purr, but this is definately an exhaust that would be considered on the quiet side. Sorry I don't have the downpipe sound report.
Rich
