First built motor and supercharger in an SVX
Well my project is officially done.
1992 Liquid silver SVX LS-L CP gas forged pistons @ 8.5:1 CR Eagle H beam rods SS valves Heavily changed cams ( both intake and exhaust ) Whipple 1600ax blower ( on 9psi for break-in and going to 12 after 1000 miles) Equal length headers, true dual 2.5" exhaust ( no cats and VERY loud ) 740cc NISMO injectors, Z32 MAF Phenolic spacers WRX front and rear seats 2004 WRX Momo steering wheel Powdercoated BBS wheels drilled and slotted rotors, stainless steel brake lines Group N motor mounts Port and polished head I will be going to DSG for a dyno run after the break in is done. An educated guess would be around 295-315 wheel hp and around 390 torque on 9 psi, once the 12lb pulley is on I am hoping for 340ish wheel hp.

What kinda tranny you going with? You gonna stay with a 4.44 auto or swap to a Sti 6 spd?

it is not 4.44 AT stock. It is a 3.545 ( same as the 07 STI ). The stock tranny is what is still in there. The 4eat will def not last very long at all that is for sure. When the time comes and it dies a very violent death I will be very torn as to what to do. I think the 4.44AT would be too harsh of a change ( and actually may hurt my 1/4 time, but I would have to examine that closely) . My other options would be a built AT in either 3.545, 3.90, or 4.44. The 3.90 is probably my favorite at this point if I stay auto. If I go manual I would probably try to get a tranny out of an 07 STi (3.545) and use the stock clutch or maybe slightly upgrade it but no crazy stage 2, 3, 6 puck stuff.

The work itself was not tough, but the research that went into this was. Everything was custom done basically with all the specs worked out by a few great guys. There is no aftermarket for this car so everything from piston specs to cam profiles was custom done. I have to give a major thanks to Mike from ECUTune and to Tom from SVX Speed Shop ( and Jimmy ).

Hmm...I got nothing then.
If it makes you feel any better your vid made me smile when it panned around to the exhaust. I miss my uber-loud ehxaust. Not because it drew attention but because I loved how it sounded with that heavy boxer rumble. |

Very nicely done, but I think your power estimates are pretty optimistic.
