No.... dyno runs with the 12lb pulley on a stock motor produced 270whp. if you look at the charts you will see that peak torque was at 3000rpms and peak hp was around 3100-3200. That was with a semi stock exhaust too. The charts show a HUGE drop off over 3000 rpms. It simply has a very difficult time exhaling at the high end. This car with the headers, very free flowing exhaust, the port and polish, and with radically different cams should see higher ###'s with 9psi than the stock motor on 12psi. if I was a betting person I would say 300 flat whp.

Well that settles it, I have to go FI soon! I was set on a turbo, but its hard to say no to a supercharger.

Back in 1990. My buddy had the one of the first SVX's. His family had a Suby dealership. I didn't know anything about it at the time. I just thought the windows looked funny. Great car!

I've always liked the SVX. Glad to see some love for the old girl.

....out ****ing standing
...and I hope ya get the trans thing figured out without too much drama.....I'm hearing good things about the new 5AT.....but I think that would be too much to hope for being able to make work, easily, though.... Last edited by Uncle Scotty; 09-04-2007 at 08:04 PM. Reason: ...AT...not MT  |

Any recomendations on clutches? I have driven a 6 spd with a stage 3, 6 puck and was not a fan at all. I want something a little more gentle. When all is said and done I will be between 340 and 400 whp and the car will weigh about 3600lbs.
