Default Eta 10/8 2013?

I was told by Mike through phone last Tuesday that my ETA was bumped from Oct 15 to Oct 8. But, I am afraid that Navi really makes the delay for about, one year?

It worth the wait and I don't care if it arrived Oct 8, 2013. It's officially a "2013" Sti

Hay Hollywood, I don't know if Navi base Sti with or w/o fogs but I already have my PIAA bulbs in hand. And so far I don't see anyone else ordered from Mike Evanston has Navi except me. It seems theoretically the guy who has Navi could be the last one to get their cars within a batch of order no matter how early he puts down the deposit. I was No. 10 ordered from Mike for a 2013 WRX/Sti, not too early though.

Order Date: Aug 29, 2012
ETA Oct 15: Sept 19, 2012
Schedule Date: Sept 23, 2012 (what's this mean?)
ETA Oct 8: Oct 2, 2012
Today Oct 9: Nothing updated yet

And I am so bored today, so I dismount Goodyear F1 A2 tire off my S204 rims and wash it for good faith.

And weight the rim: 9kg/wheel or 19.8lb/wheel

Off-topic: Anyone who have experience with the car, how good/bad is the stock Dunlop SP600 tires?

ETA was supposed to be 10/8, I was out of town til today and I called my dealer hoping for good news....nothing is in yet....pretty bummed. Dealer said he has no idea when it'll be here, think its worth calling SOA with my VIN/VON #?

The only "other" WRB WRX 11+ hatch I've seen in my area, ever, was spotted tonight driving the opposite direction very nearby my dealer on the way home from work this evening. Tech on a PDI test drive?!

I'm NOT losing my mind, I'm NOT losing my mind...

Get a coat of wax on it! I spent 7 hours on Monday detailing mine. As soon as I got done washing it the lawn care crew for the carwash came and started throwing grass and leaves into the air. By the time I finally got done it was dark and I couldn't enjoy my work.

Some thoughts:
  • I'm having trouble with reverse. It's tough when I only want to back up like 5 feet. It's such a touchy task.
  • How should I be washing near the hood scoop? I know when it's raining water has to got to be pouring in there, but something feels wrong about pointing the hose directly at it.
  • WHY is the button for the armrest extension right on the front of the armrest... right where my arm goes!? Silly design.
  • Red footwell illumination is nice. It's not too bright or too noticeable. It fits perfectly with all the other red accents and lights.
  • Stock exhaust definitely is very audible with the radio off. I imagine SPT would have been too much for me.
  • This rear view mirror sure is low...
  • AWD is night and day different that my girlfriend's FWD car. There's no spin. It just goes.

All us '13 or soon-to-be '13 owners in the Grand/Evanston/etc area need to meet up and get a group shot when everyone has their car. I'd love to have a picture of all the new cars we waited for. I've checked out the schaumburg meetup thread a few times but they always scare me off.

Ugh, I hope you're wrong about the fogs. Was hoping they would just be included so it was one less thing to do once delivered. Maybe I can talk the dealer into picking up the bill if they aren't already on there.

Hey guys.

I ordered my 13 STi on August 20th, base model without nav. I was told by the dealer that it would be 6-8 weeks. I talked with the dealer today and they told me that my car was pushed back until December. They didn't have any reason for this. Has this happened to anyone else? I though nav is what held these cars up. I'm pretty upset now and wouldn't have ordered it if I would have known it would of been a 3-4 month wait. Would calling SOA do anything? Or at least give me a reason why? It was a close decision between an STi and Evo when I began car shopping. I might end up canceling my order and picking up a X since there are 2 at my local Mitsubishi.

Just wanted your all's opinions or comments if it's happened to you.

If you complain you might get some free accessories, but that's about it. It's not like they don't want you to get your car.

You should do it at some really obscure location, so no one without NAVI can find it.

I don't know, I thought the waiting was bad when before the ETA, but now that it's past it (only a couple days) it's so much worse.

Do you need a car now? If you can wait, I'd stick with it, especially if it's the car you actually wanted. If you skip out and get something else you will always wonder what could have been....

Where are you located? To give you some perspective I've been waiting since April, pushing 6 months and still no timetable. I'm hoping for a call from the dealer any day to tell me it will be here this month. I originally thought I was going to get a 2012 and that it MAY be just a month wait or so. Yeah, I was young and foolish then
