Default Rosen Navigation System

Hey guys I just installed my Rosen navigation system in my 2010 Impreza the other day. I've gotta say I LOVE this system. It looks and works amazing! I plan on making a review video soon to give everyone a good idea of what the system is like. If you are hesitant like I was though, you won't be sorry if you buy it. I bought mine on ebay for $438 from Rosen.

It's really easy to install! The hardest part was figuring out where I wanted to mount the gps antenna. Rosen does have an install video on YouTube for the impreza though.

All of your steering wheel controls will work, it's wonderful. Everything about this system was designed for our car. Your auxiliary jack works as well. If you use your phone for music like I do, you can actually play your music via blue tooth with this system. The navigation software is the best I've ever used. You will see when you get yours. And to answer the other questions I saw, yes it lights up red and matches everything else and yes it dims at night and if you want you can shut off the screen while still having your music or radio going. If you have an ipod or iPhone it comes with a special cable for it so you can control it from the screen. I don't have an iPhone anymore so I can't chime in about the on screen controls. It comes with a usb cable which I didn't install because I was so anxious to get the system in but I may go back and install it. It has the ability to play cds or store 6 of them in its on board memory. Haven't had time to do that yet but it seems like a cool feature since I'm always using cds. If anyone has any more questions ask away!

Honestly I'd get this. I myself also almost went for the subaru oem nav and didn't last minute because there was gonna be a lot of extra hassle installing. A lot of the ones I saw on ebay were just the unit by itself. No cables, no gps antenna, no nothing. And if your car didn't come with the nav stock then you have to buy a special wiring harness from this website to make it compatible with your car. Plus the oem is probably a little outdated now. This system is very oem and looks like it came in the car but has some features I doubt the stock subaru nav has. This system is going for 380 on ebay directly from Rosen I think now. That's a killer price for a killer system..

Can someone show me where to find these? I'm looking around and I can't find them.

EDIT: Found them on ebay. They didn't come up when I searched "rosen subaru" but when I looked in the manufacturers store, they were there.

i just happened to come across this on ebay. it was listed for 389.00 and i threw him an offer of 350.00 and they accepted. only reason why im asking so many questions is because the same system is still going for close to a grand on amazon, although there out of stock. anyway ty for the input. i am going to have it installed. is there anything specific i should be telling the guy when he puts it in? like is there any options i may have when he goes to install because i dont want to go back again lol.

So you are saying buying this:
http://www.ebay.com/itm/Rosen-Subaru...a6129e&vxp=mtr

Comes with wiring harness and steering wheel interface adapter? The only additional thing I would need to buy is sirius adapter if i so choose?

Yes it comes with everything you need. The steering wheel controls are built right into the harness. Only extras you would have to buy are the sirius adapter and the back up camera.

The ones on ebay (good deal btw I payed 489 a week ago!) are factory refurbished. You would never know it's not brand new. That's probably the reason for the price difference.

If that's the case then there's a option for putting in factory refurbished. On the one I bought it says new. The guy has 1935 transactions at 100%. I'm going to have to assume he wouldn't risk his reputation. But who knows. I'm just glad to hear it works well and works perfectly with our vehicles. One other thing no one mentioned is whether or not it had a lot more power than the factory unit. Most people agree the speakers aren't too bad in the cars. It's the under powered factory crap unit Subaru put in.

Which brings me to this. Why in the hell did those cheap bastards not put in the Harmon kardon? After all I spent a good penny on my car lol.

Oh maybe yours is new then.. I didn't look at the listing. Mine did say factory refurbished so if yours says new then I am sure it is new. The power of the stock unit doesn't even come close to this thing. I am more than happy with how this thing sounds.

Whats the difference between 2010 and the 2011 wrx that would make this not work with it? I have the 2011wrx and this is exactly what I want.
