Going to put on two new rear wheel bearings and front O2 sensor today. Should be fun in the heat.

CK - 5th gen looks amazing.

mdk - cold-side looks pretty close to the positive battery terminal. Couldn't tell, were you able to keep your coolant overflow tank? How was fitment around the front. Keep the fogs?

soloz - good choice on color - looks great on the car.

ras - did you cut to fit or just cover? What are you using for camber control?

yes! the piping does look very close as it is but maybe a CH away. this is due to the lackluster kit ihad purchased on ebay, I literally had to make it work. That pipe was the hardest side upon install, there is a coupler in front of the reservoir and the timing cover that is a PITA!!! i suggest two people install one side each so as not to go insane.. my kit came with missing couplings, no core mounting bracket or prenotched crash beam. I must say it is in, it fits tight and ive checked all the couplings and connections since install abt a mnth ago and everything is tight and good. I had to take out the overflow tank to run the piping and then we were able to drop the tank in after the coupler was tightened down. (air power or an 18v gun works best for those power t bolt clamps) awesome clamps from x02 and the 3 ply couplers werent that bad. One the cold side pipe you can see a rather big blue coupler at the top..thats totaly my custom work because the kit came without that coupler which is crucial. its the only spot were the piping is like 3 or 3.5 inch diameter. i ended up using my avo throttle body hose whice worked out. it does raise the pipe up slightly and i purchased a smaller hump coupler from extreme PSI which i will install if i need to someday. IDK, you work with what you got some times lol. and dont ask about the zipties! and no...this particular kit is known for losing the fogs. you have to cut the fog housing back anyways to get the front bumper back on. Im going to make some custom "pop in" style covers with maybe slits or a projector size hole so u can just see the IC piping. its hard to explain but i didnt care about losing the fogs, i like the look of a car with an FMIC and the lower pipes showing. my kit is the godspeed. racerx engineering and or infamous perfomance sells the racerx front mount which will keep the fogs, has a pre welded BOV flange on the TB pipe and is pretty much bolt and go about double what i paid for my kit..much unlike the x02. oh and the guy that developed my xo2 kit also made the racerx (3 versions by now i beleive) years later..

i got a new LGT grille, a bunch of random trim pieces, turbo engine cover, emblems etc.

does anyone need a wagon luggage shade? silver bar with retractable luggage cover? PM me with an offer +30$ shipping
Wow, I want to be where you are. The local junk yards rarely even have third-gen legacys.

Got it a few weeks ago, sold the WRX and pick up this, so far installed Whiteline F&R Sway bars and end links, tinted windows, had XM hardwired, and flashed to Stage 1. new tires will be next, and took it to the house upstate!!

ordered some new tires, Hankook Ventus v12 evo110s, fixed some rust spots and...thought about this, how much will an underweight pulley take away from my power steering? If anyone has done a pulley swap how difficult was it?

Default brought it to the shop :-(

My 05 legacy gt was in a front end accident in May, got it repaired got it back in June and I drove it 550 miles to Denver. On my way I heard a POP I thought it was a tire blowing on a camper passing by because the car showed absolutely no indication something happened. After driving around Denver for a couple days the check engine light and cruise control light came on. Brought it for a diagnostic. Misfire on cylinder 1 and two compression tests saying cylinder 1 lost 50 psi of pressure. I took it back to a collision shop and they said all my coolant lines are leaking my valve gasket covers are leaking and apparently my turbo coolant hose is too small? Not my doing. Oil cooler is leaking. My main concern is the engine. It's got 102,000 miles on it and at 94000 my complete vehicle inspection says my valve gasket covers were good. What caused this? Insurance is trying to say preventive maintenance but I take great care of my car pay $30 just to have everything inspected every time I bring it in. Please help :-( oh and they cleared the codes gave me no conclusion to what's wrong with the car. I drove it 550 miles back to junction city ks. Check engine light came back on when I stopped for gas.

I just bought my Legacy, 1995 Legacy L, has 132k miles on it with the 5 speed. My co-worker is selling it to me for 3k. Monday I am gonna be giving her a bath and I am already looking into seats I could snag for cheap to replace the ones I have as they are getting a little worn.

Anyone know if Impreza seats would bolt in with no real issue? I will probably be putting some pics up later on after I clean her up a bit.

Impreza seats bolt right in. Lots of people have RS and WRX seats in older Legacys. They normally sit about an inch higher though.

Inch higher wouldn't be too bad, I am a short guy as it is and my arm is jacked up a bit trying to reach the window when it is down. My only question is as far as Impreza seats go, would it be better to go for the WRX seats or try and find higher end Legacy seats for comfort on longer drives?

Also thinking of finding a NASIOC.com sticker to put across my back window so I stand out from the half a dozen soccer moms in my area driving the same thing, at least until I start being able to talk my wife into letting me put money into the thing

Well, I didn't do it today, but I killed my Legacy two months or so ago... I was driving on my way to work, it was raining a little and I lost traction while traveling in the center lane. Did a 360 and hit the guard rail in the front and back of the car. Came to a stop in the breakdown lane. Highway was empty enough at the time, so I managed to do this all while nobody else was around. Here's the aftermath...

Was really bummed that I lost her. It was my first manual car and I put over 110k miles on it myself. She went down with just under 150k total. I also like the Legacy look a lot as well. The Impreza hatchback I got as a replacement is nice and it has a few more bells and whistles, but she doesn't handle quite the same. I guess when all was said and done, I turned my Legacy into an Impreza...

A lot of people think WRX seats are the most comfortable USDM seat. I have leather seats in my car but I want something more side bolsters like the WRX seats.
