It is the HIC one. I believe they are pretty much the same tho. Got mine color matched, looks much better that way.

I also think it'd be easier to do one tire at a time. As in, take off the tire.

I forgot to save this pic to flickr but I tried the tire paint on my forester and love the result. I will most likely be doing the STi pretty soon. The pic is in the link for reference, for some reason it wont let me save the pic so I can just put the IMG link.

So I finished the tires, but they definitely need to be redone. They look good in the pics, but once you get up close, you can see the imperfections. Also, on one of the tires, the paint started to crack.. I don't know why because the other three are seemingly ok.

It was everything you think...and more. Best car experience of my life. Literally a monster go kart. My instructor was the Miata Spec cup champ 2 years ago and he wasn't taking it easy on that thing at all...

Real quick.. What's the biggest tire size I can fit without any fender work? Completely stock. I'm hearing 235 and 245..?

I'm running 245/40/17 on the stock bbs. Very close to my Apexis though. I'd feel more comfortable with maybe 5mm spacers just for peace of mind.

Thanks. Anyone else running a similar size tire? Stock BBS and brakes.

I'm not on stock BBS (summer) but am running a similar tire size. Have a set of 245/40/18 KDW2s on 2011 STi Enkeis. Didn't do any fender modifications and have yet to rub.

btw, paint looks great. Getting me thinking about doing the same. You mentioned re-doing it, how easy does the stuff come off?

Edit: Should probably toss an image in here for reference of clearance:

It's going to be awesome! Should have my title at the end of the month. It's going to be the newest car I have owned/paid off.

245x40x17 is the tire size to have on 05+ bbs. Don't run a 245x45, it's too tall.

I and many other people have run 245x40's on the stock bbs with no issues. Stock suspension or otherwise.
