I hosted a car lightening clinic here for all the honda fan boys. All we did was remove the stickers from their cars. Took a while, but over all each car lost an average of 75 lbs(note, when removing stickers you also remove WHP).

I think an aftermarket exhaust and removing the spare/tools is the best way to drop significant weight. I've got AAA so no biggie if I get a flat. This will save about 50 lbs. After that a lightweight crankpulley, lightweight flywheel, carbon fiber drive shaft, lightweight wheels and tires, lightweight 2 piece rotors and you are safe and good to go!

Spec c doors are on their way, I'm going to remove the manual window winders on the rear doors and make brackets to hold the rear windows closed, this should drop a fair bit of extra weight out of them. They have thinner glass too.

Yes all four, I can go over them closely when they show up, they are currently in transit. From what I have been told its thinner glass and manual window winders. Also about 10kg in weight savings (will confirm this) but the nice thing is I can leave my original doors in storage and remove some extra metal from the spec c doors.

I will watch the video when I get home from work.
Unfortunately I just added a little weight too, these new wheels are only 1kg heavier but with tyres its around 4.5kg per wheel. I'm hoping the extra grip is worth it for the extra weight. 17x9 +42 Mach V Awesome. |

Last I looked the Enkei RPF1 and the Kosei K1-TS were the lightest wheels one could buy at a reasonable price. Which one was lightest depended on the size and offset, that's how close they are. I've seen lighter ones but at $850+ per wheel I rolled my eyes and moved on (think, carbon fiber rim with magnesium hub).
And you know what's sad: I own both. |

Same. Purchased them for STX legality. Wasn't getting the fast times I wanted so I had them power-coated "Attention-whore Red". Times didn't get any faster. YMMV. |

5x100 is the problem, it really limits you on the wheel choice. My 17x7.5 BBS are 7.1kg each and my new 17x9 are 8.1kg each so its not too bad, most of the extra weight comes from the big tyres.
I can do that with the spec c doors but I am not stripping down my original doors, they are just coming off and going in storage as is. |
