Default Cost of WRC engine on subaruwrcspares.com

http://www.subaruwrcspares.com is a really cool site.
They have S11 and S9 engines for sale with no displayed price. I emailed them for a price and got this response "WRC engine re-built & dyno run from £22000"

I figured some of you guys have wondered how much they go for on that site.

No you don't. It's cold, grey and damp.

I miss being able to watch the UK round of the WRC though McRae charging through a Welsh forest is forever imprinted on my memory.

Which equals $36,834.50 at the conversion rate.

I would do a hell of a lot of other things with 36 grand than buy a rebuilt engine.

They took a couple days to respond.

Dont know what those parts are, but they look like they are at least £5200.

There really wouldn't be any benefit to using one of those engines on the street. They're designed to make the best of a ****ty situation. The ****ty situation I speak of is a 34mm restriction. I'm sure if Prodrive didn't have to take that into consideration, they would have ended up with something completely different.
