We meet every Thursday night at the Subaru Superstore. I was going to link to the thread, but it hasn't been updated with the new information. It's right off of 202 and Gilbert Road.

Yeah, look in the Tempe area for stuff, especially with bartending experience.

Unfortunately because of the housing boom collapse, there are a ton of people looking for jobs that are unskilled because the skill they have is no longer in high demand.
I was at the chilis in tempe right next to ASU not long ago and I was sitting at the bar and there was a chick applying for waitress. MAnager came out and basically told her that they have 1-2 people a DAY apply and that he'll keep hers on file. If you want a decent job, apply at university of phoenix and you'll work in a cool environment and sit on the phones all day. Your chances are better if you tell them you want to go back to school or continue your education, but then you are working full time and doing online schooling. I've know guys that "came out for a week" and "said" they were gonna look for a job, but didn't give it 100% and guess what, didn't find anything. I would find all the ads you are interested in and find even more that you don't think you might be interested in, but that seem to be desperate to hire. Crack of dawn, stop by and or call everyone and don't stop till every place is closed. Take whatever comes along and work the job until you can find something better and at least you have money in your pocket. If you happen to be LDS, you may consider looking in that area as a lot of the east valley is LDS. |
