I know a girl that got about 200k from a similar scenario. She was passenger in a car, they were both drunk. Cops tried to pull the car over, and the driver, trying to flee, smashed the car into a wall.
The girl I know, the passenger, sued the driver (still her friend to this day), the cops, and the car insurance company of the driver and her own medical insurance. She lost the judgement to the cops, won against everybody else. She did have to get a little bit of reconstructive surgery, (that was paid for separately) but the money went to a condo, an Infiniti Q45 and tons of clothes like $500 jeans. She's a receptionist. Side note: She had an ass that even God would look at and wonder who was responsible for such a fine thing. It was glorious. I could hear angels when I looked at it, which was alot. GeoB |

When I wrecked my WRX my best friend was in the passenger seat and it screwed his back up. He sued my insurance company. Got a good amount out of the whole deal. Bought a house and all.

Yeah that is a baby thread compared to many on there.. I love how people make threads that include identifying info about a variety of things and never think that dealer reps or insurance reps go on to search for them. "I just took my car into dealer XXXX yesterday at 2pm, I need a new engine, should I tell them about all the mods I have on my car that are listed in my signature that caused this, or can be seen in my pics that have a pic of me in JDM pose? " |

Assuming the passenger has injuries (they may not present for a few days) that require medical attention, the insurance company will more than likely offer a settlement. It's not that uncommon...
