tuner and opinions w/v8 EJ207, Autronic, Antilag?
Hey I am just trying to get some advice and research before I move more indepth into my build. Currently the car is a stage 2 04 Outback sport with a version 8 ej207, 12,000km on it, vf37 twin scroll setup and all of those goodies, Version 8 jdm sti ecu with a zeypher merged wiring harness.
My ultimate goal is to keep the vf37 and overhaul it. Mild short block build, stock big port heads, and a obviously a free flowing intake and exhaust system. 1 think I'm set on and all the other mods are just gonna support is an autronic standalone and to have an anti-lag system on some sort of toggle as I know it is possible and has been done plenty of times before. What I would like to know is... -Any similar set-ups out there?(Ej207/antilag) -Any more reliability mods that antilag benifits from?(Besides loads of extra turbos) -who in the new england reigon has great experience with autronic and antilag setups? Please keep your negativity to yourself. I know what I'm getting myself into and know what comes along with antilag so please just positive advice and comments. Thank you all.

You are going to have to do something with the brake system. With Antilag fully operational you will have no vac, no vac = no brakes. I'm running an electric vac pump which works but it's super noisey so not good for a street driven car. You can also remove the vac assist unit and have a bar going straight through to the master cylinder.
<- from my 2 year old sitting on my lap You could also look into the open source flash stuff rather than the Autronic *which I love and run* They have some maps which include rally antilag. You need to work out if you want to do some sort of air bypass as well. For the size turbo you are running you probably can get away without one and just utilize the IAC to bypass. |

YEah i did forget to mention that. Since there will be no vac there will be alot more load on the braking system so I will def. do an overhaul on that. And know my compulsive self instead of just doing a sti brembo set-up ill prolly end up with a Project MU or Endless 6pot/4pot kit lol. Thanks for you help.
Mick_the_ginge or anyone who can answer. Does anyone know a good shop that has experience in the set up and tuning of a street/race antilag system via autronic in the new england area??? |

The Link G4 will also do anti-lag and there are PnP options for the Ver7-10. It will do either Group N (cyclic idle + cracked throttle plate) or Group A (solenoid bypass). Plenty of options are available to tweak it.
Hell, on a twin scroll VF37, what kind of lag are you getting on the shift? A flat shift setup would even reduce that further. If it's the pops and bangs you are after though, the Link will do it. FWIW, there are a number of folks on the Aussie boards who have been running antilag on street cars for years now. It just depends on how aggressive you set it up. Nine out of ten people on here will tell you how disastrous it will be but most have never even set it up. Most people on here don't even know what the difference between antilag and launch control is. Ryan |
