Those hood scoop find are terrible. And serve no real purpose that is justifiable to put something that bad on a car

I agree that they don't serve any kind of aerodynamic purpose.

In reality you want to channel as much air into the scoop as possible to cool the top mount and if you need directional flow there are splitters that go on the underside of hood for this purpose.

I feel like these would deflect air away from the scoop.

Plus they look horrendous and remind me of some kind of fake aero scoop you'd find on a ricer.

Edit: Jesus Christ $299.00 for these. 10 Minutes of work, and a trip to tractor supply and I could make these for < $30. I could make them look equally unpleasing to the eye.

See, I wouldn't even call it a "show car" per se. In my mind I picture a true showcar as a flawless piece of art that doesn't get driven but to the trailer and off and parked in it's designated spot. He's got to drive the thing quite a bit because there are a few rock chips on the front and randomly around the car, the wheels had a tad bit curb rash or chips on them and the interior was done up but a little bit dusty lol

IMO I wouldn't drop THAT much money to have it get messed up on the road ESPECIALLY if I'm showcasing at SEMA but that's just me and my little ol opinion I would just not enjoy driving my "show car" on the road for the fear of messing it up HAHA

That aside I'm at 58k and warranty is almost up....mod the motor? Decisions decisions...

Not feeling the green. Drawing attention to the calipers also is pretty damn stupid.

I think it looks great. One of the reasons why I loved the gold Brembo's on the prior year STi's.
