5mt ecu vs 4eat ecu
two ecus from '02 obs's. one is from a 5mt, the other is from a 4eat. are the ecu's the same, or is the tcu a part of the ecu unit?
basically, if i went to send one out for work and then swap it in, will there be any problem? thanks!

Heh - stumbled on this by accident. I'm almost 100% sure (don't you love that phrase?) that auto and mt's use the same ECU - it's the transmission plug that is different, and thus, "tells" the ECU which mode to operate in.

if you dyno a car with an MT ecu in it, and then dyno it with an AT ecu in it, you'll find that the AT ecu's make slightly more power
