I am thinking of buying Blouch 1.5XTR Twinscroll 10cm^2 and running 26psi mid range on 93 for my stockblock v8 ej207. Do you guys think this is too much for the heads? Also when should I expect to see full boost and how much hp roughly? (stock heads and cams etc). mods are exhaust, CAI, 3 port, fuel pump, sparks etc

Im running flat 4 rails on my V8. They bolt up but its a super tight fit and the connecter does hit the rail. Install can be PITA but they work great!!

You said a 2.5 XTR? I wonder how a 1.5 twinscroll would compare... If you don't mind my asking, what other mods are you running?

It'll make less horsepower overall but should spool faster.

Correct 2.5xtr

Just the usual,

Equal length headers
Ewg
Fmic
Id1000
3'' Turbo back exhaust
KS tech 73mm intake
AP 3'' inlet
Stock v7 block
Stock cams
Speed density

I might throw in a pair of kelford cams and arp head studs in there next month and switch to E85 so we push this thing out to 450-480whp.

Hey ALSTAR, what is the IDC at that power level for that turbo on the ID1000s as I am considering them myself but would like some headroom also.

Just had my (S204) EJ207 tuned yesterday at Yimisport.

330whp 320wtq on 91 pump
401whp 383wtq on e85

Peak torque was around 4.3K with HP's around 6.3K for both fuels.

Tomei 7760
Tomei ELH
Cobb catted TBE
Spearco TMIC
APS 70mm intake
Hybrid MBC/EBCS
1100 FIC injectors

Unbelievably smooth running motor. I now have next to zero NVH, even with the Cusco engine and motor mounts, Beatrush pitch stop, and all upgraded bushings. I had noticeable NVH before the motor swap.

Man... I guess it's a bit of a rhetorical question, but what's up w/ my engine then? Or maybe I'm the dumb one and it's normal.

I overlaid your dyno chart on mine and you're spooling only a couple hundred RPM later. I'm running the stock VF-37/engine w/ a perrin inlet, high flow DP and grimmspeed EBCS tuned for 93 octane. :\

I don't suppose anyone has a dyno chart of a stock v9 w/o any tuning, etc?

Upgraded clutch, the ACT SB10-HDSS, but I probably should have gotten the XTSS for the additional 50lbs of clamping force at the crack. I'm at the limit of what this clutch can hold torque wise.

Is your ACVS on? If not, then it will spool really late. My VF 37 with Avcs hits:
23 psi at ~3600 in 3rd
23 psi at ~3350 in 4th

I had assumed it was. I don't have a breakdown per gear, but I'm hitting around 22psi @ 3600ish in whatever gear it was dynoed at.

Engine does feel a bit sluggish in lower revs sometimes.

Is there a faq or a how to on how I'd check up or diagnose if my AVCS is working? I'd have thought that my tuner would've made sure before the tune. It's tuned w/ Ecutek currently, so I don't know if I can log it w/ open source?

Hi, are you also using the 6MT? or 5MT? also was the tuner reputable? Dyno graph would help greatly too.

To check if AVCS is working do the below:

make sure it says 0 when you're in netural and 1 when you're in a gear.

6MT. And I really appreciate the link! I'll check that out ASAP.

if your Ecutek tune prevents you to log with open source, you'll need to log the avcs with Delta Dash/ProEcu.

What's the popular injector to run these days? I heard something about Bosch 850's? If Bosch is making injectors for top feed Subaru fuel rails, I'd guess those are the hot ticket?

To those of you with ID 1000's - how's idle and part throttle cruise?

ID1000's are actually spec'd Bosch. Had them for several years now, idle perfectly and no issues part throttle cruise.

Adding to this.

The FIC 1100 and DW 1000 also idle perfectly and had no issues part throttle. Either on my EJ207 or EJ205.

Cool, thanks guys! I'm probably going to go with Bosch/ID's. I've had DW's for a little while, and it seems like they commonly start having issues at around 50K miles, which is inline with what's happening with my car.

My Kamak TD05 16GTX STS Twinscroll looks like it's settling on 3750 RPM for full spool for 23 PSI.
This is with 62F intake temperature.
Looks like the slightly taller 4th in my 6 speed has very little influence over the spool.
My records with the 5 speed in 3rd are also in the 3700 range, with this turbo, with intake temps in the 60's.
