We actually grew up in Linden. I lived downtown and my wife lived north of town. Now we have a place on Linden road between Baldwin / Grand Blanc Rds. It's not bad out here but we wanna move up north Also thanks for the heads up, I will post something here when we leave, which would be around 9:15 (of course we'll reek of pizza mind you )

If people aren't planning to be around any later than 9:00 or 10:00 I'll post up for you so you don't waste the drive down only to find everyone gone.

So if you grew up in Linden I would assume you went to Linden schools. Not sure how old you are, but did you ever have or know of Doug Gorton as a teacher there?

Actually yes I did, I believe Mr. Gorton taught a computer class at my middle school when I was there, I think 6th & 7th grades, if I remember right. I graduated in 2000, and I'm now 30 years young Are you related to him?

If we get a decent turn-out and people want to start having regular meets again we can plan something there. At this point I'm thinking monthly meets might be best to keep people from getting burned out on meeting every week or always going to the same restaurant each week.
I am new to this group but not new to owning Scoobys, I can make it out to the meet, sounds like fun, always nice to meet like minded people

Bummer! What did you break, and how much hell did everyone give you? *edit: transfer case*

I had plans with some friends from out of town that day (Oct.24th). I'll be there this Wednesday.

Bimpity bump bump

Meet tonight Looking forward to some boneless wings. Haven't had any in at least a year.

For any n00blets showing up, look for a guy with a beard wearing a navy polo with white and green stripes (me).

Do they have wreck-it-ralph? Besides, the movie would coincide with the meet, so unless you all want to try and be silent in a theater...

Only 6 at meet tonight. On our way our. Not worth driving down if it'll take more than 10 minutes to get here.

Nothing planned, but that's because no one has planned anything. If people want to plan another meet feel free. There is nothing on a regularly scheduled basis at this point. Someone probably needs to take charge if there are those who want to have a regular meet. I'll be out of town most of January and February, so don't expect me in attendance at whatever people want to plan

Are there parking towers we can have a chill meet at just bs then grab some cheap beers or burgers after. In Jersey, basically bull****ted outside of a shoprite and best buy for an hour or two then grabbed wings and $2 beer at bww. Then again there are quite a bit of subies around the area with Rutgers being nearby.

Anyhow, im down to hang, bs, have a joe, and learn a few spots to drive around here. Tuesday nights bww has the specials and im near woodward

We used to meet on Tuesdays for the BWW specials and such. After 6 or 7 years of the same stuff the meet started to hop around a bit. The BWW in Novi has a lot of parking lot to choose from. It's in a bit of a shopping complex with a couple other bars and a movie theatre. In the past I believe we actually had a loitering permit/agreement with the property owners allowing us to congregate in the parking lot without being bothered by the police. I don't know if that's still valid or even an option.

Old meets used to start around 7:30 with food/beer at BWW and end up bs'ing and having a good time in the parking lot until 11:00. I wouldn't mind seeing that type of attendance and fun again. It's been a long time since we brought lawn chairs and RC cars to a Subaru meet just to pass the time and laugh with friends. Been a really long time since someone "stole" a wheel off mykrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr's car.

For the moment I have soccer games on Monday and Thursday nights. With temps getting cold I'll be on Ski Patrol at one of the local ski bumps as soon as they make snow. Starting in early January I know myself and at least 2 other "regular" meet attendees will be up in Sault Ste. Marie for winter vehicle testing...probably through the end of February. I'm not likely to attend a meet until spring.

You guys figure out where and when you want to have meets and I'll update the thread title and the first couple posts with new information. You can also check over on misubie.com and michiganace.com to find more of the local Subie crowd who might attend meets.

New car means I need tint on the damn thing. Anyone got any suggestions for good places that won't charge stupid amounts of money for it? Last place I went to did an ok job but a couple bubbles and a 'chip" started to happen on the driver's side window.

Looking to do 35% or 50%...nothing crazy.

Sunshade is a good place, have had good service there. I think they are also still selling the ticket guard warranty. There is a place around Troy somewhere can't recall the name, but they use machines to precisely cut the window tint instead of Doing it by hand. Pretty cool.

It's about damn time! You've gotten into this nasty habit of keeping things longer than a year and it's sooooooooooooo not "you" .

But what are you using to tow the race car around?
