Default Those with a WRX (not sti) with APS 3" turboback

For those with a wrx and have the APS 3" turboback...did you have to cut/grind/trim anything when installing the downpipe? I've heard some people had to do this because it didn't fit. The ones who had the sti did not have to do this.
