Default semi newb-wrx longblock into 99 2.5

Thought I'd ask this here because you afi guys might have looked into this. I have a blown motor and wanted to just swap a usdm wrx longblock in, but trying to avoid the whole wiring/plumbing headaches. Is the cam sensor different? I woul use an aftermarket ecu, bu What else. Thanks

conversions forum?

As far as i know you are going to HAVE to do the wiring headache, one way or another. Either aftermarket ECU with your own custom wiring harness for everything, or getting a wrx harness modified with yours. I'd suggest the second one as you can pay someone to do up the harnesses for you. Then you can use an aftermarket ecu made for a WRX.
