Craziness. Alonso must have had a funky setup, looked like he was loosing some grip in sector 3.

Seb on pole, who wants to call it there?

Verizon Wireless is actually a joint venture between Verizon and Vodafone.

@charlie_whiting McLaren should rebrand Jenson's car with an AT&T logo. #USGP

I have a GA ticket so no specific seats. I plan to be there early (8-9am) just after the pedestrian bridge so I can get a descent view of turn 1 with my telephoto. I set up my camera to shoot the cars through turn 15-17 and blur out the fence as much as possible. I'll be wearing a brown Snap-on t shirt. I'm here solo so I wouldn't mind some company if you wasn't to say hi.

If any of you on site are using radio scanners please let me know if track safety is monitorable. I am going to go to the V8s in May 2013 and find the most entertaining comms to listen to is race control, pace car, safety, etc.

I was looking for a local radio station that was broadcasting live track commentary and found a list of the track frequencies for that stuff. I never opened the Google result but it had a list with numbers on the Google result preview. Try searching for "Austin f1 radio" or similar and toy should find t to. It was on the first page of results. Hopefully Its what your talking about

Going to have to wait until Monday for pics. Upload failed over night. The historical f1 race was awesome. Those 60's Ferraris are absolutely amazing to watch and listen to.

I hope I make it to the airport in time for my flight. Here's to no long safety car periods or red flags. Race starts @ 1, flight leaves at 4:55.

Yeah I'm sure itll all go smooth as silk

Should be a cracking race..oh wait. the only one who can possibly get a good start is...Webbo. And when's the last time he didnt lose places at the start? 2010?

Interesting to see if the advantage for H.A.M. being pointed towards the inside line versus being on the slippery side of the grid works out for him... I'm betting he'll bang wheels with Webbo, Kimi jumps into second, and Vettel cruises off to win.

Hamilton is on the slippery side

But even being on the slippery side, he will still get out quicker then webbo! Only thing i'm worried about is kimi getting a good start and of course Grosjean and his 1st corner stunts!

Ferrari may change the transmission at Massas car, so that Alonso could start at 7th position on the better side of the track...

At least we know massa is alright with that... If that happened to webber, he probably would flip like he did 2010 when he slammed the water down on the table even though vettel needed the points more

Ddi the the rules say anything about unnecessary equipment change to give team advantage? I guess it would be difficult or impossible to enforce a rule like that.
