Default Auto-X at New Meadows, W. Bath Maine??

First time I've gone by there on a Sunday, once each way- saw a black STI (looked like '06, as mine.) And an obvious autox day going on. Could somebody fill me (or, rather, my total ignorance) in on this? TYIA..

Check the New England Forum. That was most likely Cumberland Motor Club.

Or are you just looking for info in general about auto-x?

Auto-x is a course laid out on parking lots or airstrips (lots of open room, nothing solid to hit) where cars go out on course one at a time and compete against the clock for the fastest time around a course.

A course is set up by cones that the cars must navigate. Hitting a cone adds 2 seconds onto your final time.

It's a contest of driver skill over car preparation.

Default Auto-X in Maine

Thanks guys, I will try and stop by a week from Sunday. Are they always at that ex-BIW shuttle lot?
KC- Yes, I'll take a look at the link you pointed out. MFR S., do you compete? I just read a post today that sums it up so well, we all think we are such hot spit drivers, and most of us- I know I- really know very little about getting the most out of the machine.
I can't imagine the STI, with that huge turning circle, putting up good numbers. Perhaps I should bring the Miata I'm selling (since I bought the Subie.) My wife could probably get in the Mazda and trounce us all <g>.
