2011 wrx ticking and loss of power
Hello everyone I have a 2012 wrx hatch, fairly stock all I have is a blow off valve the rest is stock standard, this problem started while ago out of knowhere after taking off from a set of lights at normal speed wasn’t flooring it or anything just normal take off, my engine light came on and it read as a misfire on cylinder 3 so I replaced the spark plug + coil pack, that made the misfire code go away but the car still ran really bad, I then found a leak in the intake manifold so I replaced both gaskets that are associated with the intake manifold, i know these cars are alittle “ticky” and I know what the regular tick sounds like but it is much louder now(coming from the passenger side AUS) and the car runs like a tractor no matter how little you accelerate it wants to backfire non stop and is very stuttery while trying to drive I can provide videos if someone would tell me how I just really need help because I’m at a stand still with it
Thanks

Can you get a video?
That tick could be something valve train related or it could be knock. We can't really diagnose over the internet through words. Sidenote: That BOV isn't doing you any good. It's likely releasing already metered air when you let off throttle / shift. Not good. |
