It goes up and down....seing as it started down and then he moved it up.

It's a simple bracket that you would just lift up then move over to put down again

Went sledding

Couple sleds a 32" snow tube and a shovel up top. Got a few looks at red lights.

No spacers...
Thanks. Yeah medium inno with some ebay digi camp vinyl. I think the clear headlight thing got blown out of proportion. They are growing on me. But I will probably still paint them when I do my HID retrofit.

Just some clarity on the Yakima Binding Lift system (On my Fatcat6 here)

This is how your carrier is attached to your cross bar. Both your hinge side one and latch side one are like this. There is a screw inside the carrier that screws into the clamps. You can also see the Binding Lift folded away.

Remove the screw closest the hinge COMPLETELY, and LOOSEN the screw closest to the latch (not shown)

Remove the long allen screw to drop down the Binding Lift.

You have to move the hinge side clamp about an inch or so closer to the other clamp. Reinstall the screw you removed from the inside of the carrier earlier, directly onto the clamp.

Attach the Binding lift to the clamp using the long screw.

Tighten the screw inside the carrier near the latch.

Here is my setup on a budget, and hopefully this will help some people with the OEM aero crossbars, as it took me a while to search this thread to find what works. Thank you to NASIOC classifieds for the good prices on the used bars and snowboard rack

^^Leach0789 above has another solution for fairings with the aerobars, I'm curious to see a closeup of how he attached it to the crossbars.

Here's my setup:
- 02-07 OEM Aero crossbars
- OEM (Yakima) Snowboard attachment - older style that has the small red button. For parts, Yakima refers to it as the discontinued "button-down 4". The button-down aero is very similar also.
- Attachment to bars I believe are available through the dealer, they fit PERFECT around the aero bars and are very low profile. Yakima sells them as the older "Mighty mount 2V"
- Fairing is the Inno 31" Small model. It has to be small enough to fit in-between the rails as previous posts mention the problem of the long slope of the rails, making the "arms" of the fairing too short. I believe this is the only one that will fit inside the rails without some kind of customization.

The rack sits very low to the crossbars making it a tight fit for the fairing arms, but it does fit. I attached the arms and one side of the rack, then pressed down the rack until I could get the other bolt through.

Because the bars are so low to the roof, I had to flip 2 of the bolts that go through the fairing so it doesn't contact the roof. Not a big deal.

Looks good! As you can tell I prefer the fairing to cover the whole front. I can take some pics of how I attached the fairing later. But for a quick summary: the outside 2 fairing arms line up directly with the tie down loops on the oem crossbars. The middle 2 arms reach the crossbar, but the Thule aero clips are too small. So I trimmed a bit of those off and they fit almost around the whole crossbar. All 4 are held to the crossbar with zip ties. Probably not the most preferred solution but the fairing doesn't move so it's good. The fairing is actually less likely to get stolen with the zip ties than the stock Thule clips lol.

Just installed my medium Inno fairing on my 08 WRX. The wind noise has reduced greatly! Definitely recommend to those looking to lose the OEM crossbar wind scream.
