Theres nothing wrong with whoring if you're proud of all your hard earned money and time put into your vehicle. It's appreciated when people share photos of their car, whether or not everyone likes them. Personally I like the car and the back rounds...

Hey I have an '11 with the oem cross bars, and am looking for some bike racks. Anyone have any experience with these?

http://www.prolineracks.com/swagman-...ike-racks.html

they just seem so cheap compared to the OEM option

I have a 2005 WRX wagon with the factory roof rails. I am looking for cross bars. I have looked at a lot of the postings on this thread but I don't see an answer to the question I have.

I have looked for the cross bars - there are many choices out there - the OEM Subaru part, Thule, Yakima, Rhino Rack and many no-name ones on Ebay. The brand name racks are rather expensive - $150-$275 or so. The no name ones on Ebay run $40-$80. Has anyone had bad or good experience with the no name ones? Do Thule, Yakima, Rhino Rack have any advantages over the Subaru one (as the Subaru one is less expensive than the others)? I am looking to carry a luggage carrier (the ones that open from the side). Not a super lot of weight as I generally through sleeping bags, jackets, etc in it.

Thanks for your assistance.

Love the light bar. Where'd you pick it up? Curious if it would it fit an '09 WRX.

The Thule and Yakima racks are awesome, I've used both fits and could not be happy. The way I looked at the whole cost issue was do I want to put something cheap on my car that may damage it and do I want to put something on it that may not survive the trip. Given those I had no problem springing for my Thule rack and Yakima loaders.
If you're not in a rush check your local craigslist and on the forums. You'll get some stellar deals, even more if you know how to trade. I got my rack setup for 100, the fairing for 15, the bike racks for 75, and my ski rack in trade. All of it was in great shape when I got it, just had to piece it together slowly. The actual fit kit for the rack feet you might have to buy new though.
If your car uses the clamp style rack not the bolt ons, I've got my old Thule feet I'd sell you.

I got two tierods on mine also. I dig the rack but it extends just a tad far on the back. My road bike is fine, but my Mtn bike the back tire touches the wing when the back is raised.

Yeah mine do to. Both my Stumpy and my Enduro wont clear with the hatch open.. Kinda sucks but not that big of a deal.

Did you order the colored Tierods? I was torn between the black white and blue choices.

looking to get a roof rack setup for my 12 base hatch to carry my mountain bike. 26 in full suspension bike and do not want to remove front wheel so i was thinking of going with the oem roof rack with a thule 594xt sidearm. i know people have said the oem scratches the paint so i was planning on some clear bra cut to fit. does anyone have any experience with the thule sidearm fitting on the oem cross bars? also any issues with opening the hatch? any other setup suggestions instead? thanks again in advance.
