Default NoVA Mountain Biking Thread. When and where are we riding this week?

So scroll to the last posts to see where we'll be rifding this week. This is just for NoVa so we're talking about Fountainhead, Wakefield/Accotink, and maybe Difficult Run. If anyone knows some other good riding in NoVA, let me know.

I actually just put the bikes on my car. We were going to the 495 jumps, but I think we are heading to fountain head instead. Theres probably 5 of us going.

I'll definitely be up for riding next weekend.

Had a great time yesterday. Thanks to all that came out.

Loved the new bike. So much faster and smoother than the old Trek, and climbs surprisingly well.

Maybe we should create make this the regular "NoVa Mountain Biking Thread".

So how about Fountainhead again this weekend? Looks like Sunday is going to be the warmer of the two days. Say 1PM?

I'm horribly out of shape, so trust me, you won't hold us back. Or at least you won't hold me back.

I don't ride very much but you should try this trail. I have friends that ride 5 or 6 days a week so I know alot of the trails out my way.

If you're too slow, we'll have to shoot you.

I want to go, but I think my heart would explode at fountain head for a first-event-out-in-the-season trip. Probably have to start with something a little easier. Plus Layman will push me off a cliff for not showing him the DOHC->SOHC Forester swap.

Hahaha.

If you provide enough details, I'll resist shoving you to your death.

You should come out. We're all experienced riders, but all out of shape. It'll be equal footing for all.

I went this past Sunday for the first time this year. Yeah, I was hurting after the first few climbs, but after a few breaks, and some steadier sections, my body finally figured out it wasn't over, and I felt better. Of course by the end my thighs were cramping, but I think that was more because my water pack leaked all the water out and I didn't have any for the last 3/4 of the ride. Just come out. We'll takee it easy. Trust me, I want to take it easy, and I have to take it easy.

So, F'head or Difficult Run?? I'm down for either...just need to get my bike trays on the Thule rack. Here's the deal - nobody laughs at my Outback-like ride height on my LGT or Rusty gets kicked in the balls

*I just got the coilover wrenches in, so I'll try and get it to proper height soon. Wheel gap pwnz me!!
