That last one is rather obnoxiously loud. The Tsudo sounded the best.

Cool

My plain (or vanilla) 2008 Subaru Impreza 2.5i (Premium) that's lasted me quite a few years. Only recently have I started to have issues with it due to a bad timing belt job done in Nov '15 that's caused my off-highway MPG to drop drastically and lead to some crappy low-end power issues.
Beyond that, I've been looking at the 2016 Subaru WRX for a little while now as a soon-to-be replacement.
But issues aside and the possibility of looking at a newer, faster model, it's been the most reliable, trouble-free car I've ever owned... and I've owned 5 other cars.

I need about 1/4 to 1/2 inch spacer on the rear springs just to make it level! Stock springs! WTF Subaru.

Finally found a RS badge that wasn't $70, cleaned it up and have it some fresh paint to match my theme. Kind of nice to pay respect to the older generations of our 2.5i's

Thanks man, I've been wanting either the jdm or Australian badges for a while and thought they always looked good. I spent like 20 minutes at home depot deciding between yellow white and red, thought the red would look the best with the brake lights.

Pointless to do unless you're getting a tune. It's going to literally do nothing anyways.

You're literally better off leaving the engine stock and doing suspension parts.

It's not negativity. It's telling you the truth that you don't want to hear.

For the record, Fancy is right. I got better results from changing the filter than changing the pipe.

If you're planning on tuning then by all means go for it but don't change your piping and then try and find a tuner. Finding someone who is not only capable (almost no tunes available for the 2.5i) but also willing will be a huge challenge and be prepared to spend over 500 at least. I found a gentleman in Connecticut who said he could give it a try, you need to schedule way out in advance and its $5-600 for dyno time and tuning.

If you change your pipes and sit on it for 6 months or a year you'll be shortening the life of your engine quite a bit. You'll instantly be running too lean, the ecu will indeed compensate for it somewhat but it won't be enough.

Find your tuner first and talk to them about it! They'll have good insight on this project

I just wanted to reinforce the correct info in this thread because this is one of the biggest misstatements that I hear when people say the rear end sags.

Almost all cars have a larger wheel well cut-out in the front than in the back. This is because the front wheels HAVE TO TURN. They need more room than the rear wheels. End of story. The fender gap is bigger in front but the car is level. If you tune your ride height based on fender gap then the car will be pitched forward more than stock which may or may not be desired.

Indeed, I roughly cut the shape of the whole bar and after getting it on I cut the emblem and sealed the corners.

Note: do NOT spray a clear coat on the 3m vinyl, it'll melt the surface and make it flat black. Learned that the hard way after trying for 3 rounds and finally getting a wrap I liked, sprayed it and in 2 minutes it was fried ugh. I'm going to coat it with a uv preventing wax hopefully that'll make it last a little while. Not too concerned if not though considering its fake carbon fiber wrap WOOOO
