I've been looking at a few ways to spruce up the Chevy small block for the BatBerry. I think I have a few good ideas on how I can do this on a budget. It will take a bunch of elbow grease but it should be worth it.

I'm going to try and get started tomorrow night stripping the wiring harness off and degreasing the 20 years of gunk on the engine

I finally made some progress today... laid down some paint on the wheels and gas caps. Hopefully my search for a donor car comes to and end on Tuesday

Goal is to get it looking like below... but of course there will be a BlackBerry PlayBook where the screen is on the right

Nope.. the one on Pawn stars was a hand sculpted version of the car done to the best of the builder's abilities when the movie came out.

Mine's actually pulled from molds off of the actual movie car

Ahhh...

Big progress made this weekend on tearing down the donor car. I was very lucky to have people come out and help turn wrenches! The Discovery Channel filming was a blast!

The frame is all set for the next step of its journey.... Streeeeetch time

After working on the frame all day, my fingers feel like footballs!! I'll have to take some Advil tonight to bring the swelling down in my joints!

SPOTTED brcewane - i saw this wonderful work of art driving on my way back from sauble beach Ontario. i was cruising with my team Focal Point Concepts when you pulled in to the petro gas station to get some gas and my boys were there and took some snap shots.

Glad to see it in person, as soon as i saw it you were the first person that came to mind. i didn't even realize that you were from Ontario so for a split sec i was wondering if there was more then one person in north America with this project hehe

car looks great man, i was almost led to believe that Batman himself was driving. keep up the great work, i know a lot of time and effort was put in. show's off very well!

Hmmm... I don't think that was me... I am from Ontario but my Batmobile isn't on the road yet.. just my Subaru. If you saw an 89 Batmobile on the road, I'll have to track down who it was

A very productive weekend working on the BatBerry!

It was time to try out the Flux/MIG welder for the very first time.. Damn, those were some ugly welds.. but I'm getting better
