Question Recommendation on STi 6 spd trans/front diff fluid

Which brand of aftermarket transmission/ front diff fluid should I get? Is 6 quarts enough for the fluid change? I heard it's rather crucial to use the right kind of fluid on the 6 speed, thanks for any input.

Why the HD and not the RHD? Every report I have seen so far has the owner using NEO RHD in the tranny and diff. Nobody has mentioned just the 'HD' version ... except for you ... hence the reason for my post (you see what searching does? It brings topics back from the dead - lol).

I think it had to do with the sulfur content or something in RHD that could potentially harm the gears or synchros... But if it's working fine so far you might as well stick with it. I still like my HD...

Ya, I remember that.... I did a test. Cause the whole house to stank the **** up. People told me that it was going to kill my synchros. But it was already in the car so I said **** it. It is still there and no problems.

Do not use Red Line 75w90 - use the 75w90ns. I use, personally, a mix of 2 quarts MT-90 and 2 quarts Superlight Shockproof. It works beautifully.

For those who actually read this thread I wanted to cross-reference the post on NEO Gear Oil (along with the only RHD vs. HD discussion besides this one).

I'm running Valvoline synpower 75-90 and absolutely love it. I had Mobil1 in there for about 5000 miles and it was the most horrible thing ever.
