So are the painted ones actually powder coated? You guys got me wanting to pull mine off and do that. Not sure what color to go with though? Maybe blue I really like the yellow one because it's going to really stand out. Plus you have a nice suspension setup. I have also thought about doing the Whiteline adjustable links. I like the Perrin ones, but they only work on the Sti

Yeah I think we might need to offer these powdered in colors as well. They look awesome!

On the lateral links from PERRIN they do work on the WRX, just need STi endlinks to go with em! Sorry for any confusion!

Cool, just end links and I can keep my WRX swaybar?

I would offer them in Perrin red. Red would look wicked to. You would have to grind the fins for thier killer look. If you could hit the raised Perrin, that would be even cooler.

Other than looking REEAAAAAAAAAAALLLLLLLYYYY badass, for the average street driver, this is entirely pointless isnt it?

Convince me otherwise.

(no seriously, convince me otherwise, because I have been looking for an excuse to buy one/justify it to myself )

Yellow FTW. And you NEED to offer the blue anodized magnet plugs. So nice.

An extra 30% of oil doesn't hurt. I did it because my car is almost RWD, plus it does look bad ass Wish I would have thought of the powder coating. Only negative to the powder coating is that it is a step backwards as far as cooling goes. You have basicly insulated it by coating it and will hold the heat. Then again, it is already overkill for a street car.

Either way, I love it! Way to go Perrin

Token-Negro, hook us up with the thread pitch and size for the cover bolts so I can get my SS cap head bolts. I'm going to try the hardware store, but I think they only have the coarse thread pitches.

I am guessing that it is a 1.25 pitch? They are 10mm dia. / 30mm length

Figured it out. They are 1.25 pitch 10mm bolts 30mm long

Thanks guys for the extra info to folks. That is really helpful! Those cap screws look really nice. I am going to see if we can add them to the kit without hurting the MSRP.

Also, the diff cover is certainly going to increase the lifetime of the diff itself. Some hart corners etc. and you can really heat the fluid (hence the reason why the STi has a temp warning from the factory.) So this help with that by helping to cool the oil and increase the capacity.

If we can help further PLEASE let us know!

I don't think I can hyper link, but the sales team just put a discount on this item in the for-sale drivetrain area.

Just a heads up!

Sorry for overtaking your thread Perrin. It is cool to see what others are doing with your product. I was very impressed with my diff cover.

The source we found on the cap screws has them made, and they were about 6$ each about 50$ in SS hardware on that thing.

EDIT: I was wrong and they only only make steel cap head bolts.

You should check those guys out for steel bolts www.McMaster.com

No concerns as all. Pre-drilled and tapped for those sensors.

I love these covers, the only issue I've had with them is the loss of the baffle under the vent. With all that extra fluid in there is has a tendency to splash alot more out than it used to.

Oops, your right, they only have 1.5 thread pitch. Maybe that's why Token had to have them custom made. I'm not about to spend $50 on the bolts. I was willing to do $20, but that's it.

I'll keep looking for them. I would say they have to exist somewhere else for less than $6 a bolt.

I think Jeff and Steve in our purchasing dept found them inexpensively. I will see about what we would charge for just the bolts. They appear to be going in our kits in about 4-6 weeks. But I will find out for sure ASAP!

Sweet, thanks Adam

Guys I posted it above that the plugs are 3/4" NPT and not 1/2" NPT

Can you check this for us Adam?

So how does the perrin hiigh volume cover compare to the M1 cover? The M1 looks to hold more and looks mean.

It doesn't look like it holds more than the Perrin and it's $150 more. It does look sweet, but they took up a lot of cooling fin area with a big M1 logo.
