Any Denver dealer to avoid?
Or a good one to work with? I'm searching for an '05 STI. Not real picky about color, but I'd don't really want a blue one. Looking for a like new example with low miles...

I've had really good luck with Mike Shaw Subaru in Thornton. Speak with Scott McDonald, the internet sales manager, he'll treat you right.

I dont know of any bad ones, but Flatirons subaru in Boulder, CO is probably the nicest/best one i have been too. I can tell you though they dont have an 05 sti right now. They do however have an 04, with 18,000 miles on it they are trying to sell for $28,500.

Wow, that's alot of $$ for an '04... I know the main differences between the '04 and '05 are the steering rack mounts and the interior, along with wider wheels with a different bolt pattern. Anything else different about them? Any reason why I should get the '04 vs the '05? I thought the '05 was better due to the interior, front diff, steering rack, etc...

If you search, there's a ton of threads on the topic.. I asked, and this is what they said. I like my 04.
Heuberger down in Colorado Springs is a place to avoid.. I haven't met anyone who was happy with their experience there.. |

I also ended up buying from Mike Shaw after the sales manager at John Elway tried to snow me. I haven't had to deal with them since the sale, so I can't speak to their service, but the sale was as good a buying experience as I've had.

Talk to Jon Eric Ferguson at Flatirons Subaru. Tell him I referred you. He'll take good care of you...

Come see me!
I'm baised, but goto John Elway Subaru South, and ask for Hutch or Rock. Both STI owners & enthusiasts, certified product knowledge specialists, & subaru authorized sales guides who'll treat you right (I promise).
No 05s ATM, but there's a used 04 Silver STI w/WRX wing, good shape, OZ Racing 18" rims w/ KDWs with 20,000miles (I think?) that just came in trade a few days ago. PM me if you want. |
