Default was '02 wrx ever 2.5L?

Sup all, I'm looking at buy & sell and there's a 2002 sedan there that's 2.5L turboed. I thought WRX was always 2L?

Not stock on a 2002 WRX that I can recall, however doing a 2.5L shortblock swap is fairly common now a days. I noticed there's alot of aftermarket parts on that car, so a ej257 transplant might of been done. AFAIK the wrx/sti type 2.5L didn't come stock till the 2004 USDM STI.

Damn, but if it's got a super cool tuned WRX (Ruzo?) exhaust, whoo weee, snap it up.

Others may know, just my 2.

You know he's reaching out for details when he mentions intermittent wipers.

That front bumper kit makes me want to gouge out my own eyes.

thanks guys. I'm not gonna buy that particular car, that's for sure. I was just curious, because I've seen a number of 2.5 turbos out there.

Better question, what the heck is an anti-starter? Is he referring to the clutch safety switch?
