Thanks. I'm fighting a front o2 sensor problem right now. It only has 600 miles on it, and I think it took a dump on me. Hopefully I can get the local dealer to swap it out for me, but we'll see.
Not yet. I tried to get one the other night but the camera was too close to the exhaust and you couldn't hear a damned thing. Once I get the o2 sensor issue figured out I will try and get some video. |

Well, the car is tuned. I got back from South Bend about 1:30 this morning. I got up there about 6pm or so Saturday night and we tuned until 4am Sunday morning. We then picked it back up at around noon and worked on it straight until about 930pm or so. I'm happy with the results, but disappointed the local tracks are closed now. We ran into some issues, but Jason got them figured out the best he could with the time we had. It's mostly idle and off boost stuff. All things considered, there weren't many hiccups we had to contend with. I do have a short list of things I need to take care of, but other than that I am good to just go and drive it.
I don't have any power numbers, but he estimated 550-600. It's tuned on about 30-31psi of boost and pulls like a raped ape. The best part is it builds 20-25psi on the launch control, which is enough to do a nice, smoky 75-100 foot long AWD burn out. He said he has never seen anyone build that much boost, that quickly, on the launch control. I was going to do another launch and record it on the GoPros, but am glad I didn't. I was sitting in the middle of the road waiting for a car coming up from behind to pass me. I jokingly said something about it would be funny if it were a cop, and it was. Needless to say we didn't get to do the launch, haha. The tow rig, chucklehead! |

Just a little bit of bad news to report.
I was out doing some logging to get the BCS duty cycles dialed in and to get a log for Virtual Dyno. Well, at about 30psi and just over 7100 rpm, 3rd gear decided to let go. I haven't pulled the trans yet to see exactly what the carnage is, but I'm guessing it's not good since it won't come out of gear. I'm going to wait to decide what to do until I get it torn apart, but have been going over my options. I'm still undecided on what route I want to go with on whether to fix it or what to replace it with. I did buy it second hand, and it was used when that person bought it, so it was just a matter of time. I just would have figured it would have broken on a launch and not under a flat load. The upside is it wasn't the engine and it's at the end of the season, giving me all winter to try and get it taken care of. |

What vintage of the PAR gearset does it have in it? Is it the newer "650HP" gears or one of the older sets. I'm very interested to see what it looks like once you open it up!

Here is a Virtual Dyno chart from one of my logs. This is with Smoothing at 3. Setting it at 4 wasn't much different. |

I was anxious to see what the trans looked like, so I decided to go ahead and get it pulled out last night.
Here is the drain plug, about as expected. And here is the trans out of the car, which I managed to do in just over 2 hours, without a lift or trans jack, on the floor, by myself. :manlyman: I tried to get it split open last night, but the case halves were being stubborn, I was hungry, and there was gear oil everywhere. I finally got it to cooperate this morning. It even broke this, which is probably why it was locked in gear. I found the missing piece up in the front diff. |

I just uploaded it, so processing isn't completely done and it's a little rough, but here's some video from when I was tuning the car. It's not ideally how I wanted to edit the footage, but I'm sure I will have a bit more this Spring to put together something a bit more legit.

Thanks, it's one of the things I have wanted to do since I started working on this, and I think it turned out perfect.
There are a couple other custom things I plan on doing. One of them being controlling the center diff with the Carberry ROM. It will default to open, but will be set to lock up when I reach a certain TPS and unlock when I get to a set MPH. |
