worst finish of the season for me My own damn fault for taking out 3 of the last 4 cones on the course on my last run of the day. Trying to eke out an extra second out of the run cost me 6 seconds.

Hello to all my fellow rallycrossers.

Registration for ordering June 9, 2012 Saturday box lunches is now open and will close at 8PM on THURSDAY, June 7, 2012. The cost is $8 for a sandwich, side and drink. For those who are participating in the upcoming 2 day event, the lunch on Sunday is included, however, Saturday's is not. If you want to have a box lunch delivered to you on Saturday, then you will need to register for that separately, following the same procedure as we have been doing all season.

This is set this up to work for SATURDAY only. For everyone who has ordered box lunches for previous events (or wished they had), you know how good their food is. To place your order, just follow the steps below:

We now have an open event to register/pay for lunch boxes on Saturday:
http://www.dlbracing.com/clubs/wdcr-...=4995&LMID=859

You can go there to place an order now.

How to order:
a. Log in

b. Choose meal in drop down menu, and then enter name in field and click the "+" sign to add to the order

c. Choose a drink for each person who has a meal (drink included in the $8 price) IF YOU DO NOT CHOOSE A DRINK, YOU WILL GET WATER

d. Click continue and check order

e. Click continue and pay

f. Click continue to complete order

If you have any specific questions, please contact myself, Adam, John, or Jared.

Book your hotel for Saturday night (if you like)

Hampton Inn Winchester North
1204 Berryville Avenue Winchester, VA 22601

I like this Hampton Inn. If you ask for the Trackdaze rate it's $79.

It's about 10 minutes from the event, and historically we usually go out for dinner Saturday evening in town...

BUMP! One month to go before we resume after our summer break. Saturday September 8th is the Fall Driver's school / Test 'n Tune. September 9th is our typical race day. I've heard some grumblings about a few very experienced stage rally drivers that may be on hand to give pointers.

Now I just need to get the car ready after sitting for 2 months...

bout time...

all these months off have resulted in me staring at this car sitting in my driveway, and since I can't afford to do anything interesting on it, I just slap more stickers on it to feel like I paid it some attention, lol.....

anyhow, when is the registration for the test&tune open?

on saturday we offer a beginner driver school. great way to learn some of the basics. session includes some classroom techniques and strategies, then hands on practice and codrives with experienced drivers. the pm session is more practice and seat time on one of our courses.

if you've ever wanted to give rx a try - this is a wonderful opportunity.

then come on back for a full day of racing on sunday.

rx is a scream.

I hope everyone has had a relaxing summer. I know I'm itching to get back in the saddle.

We wanted to give everyone notice of the anticipated Test/Tune and Driver's School schedule. In the past we've started later, and ended earlier. This time, in an effort to maximize seat time and value for everyone, we're planning on starting the day at our typical race day time. This means the following:

8:30AM- Registration closes for both Test and Tune and Driver's School attendees. Driver's meeting promptly thereafter.
9AM- Test and Tune runs and Driver's School will start.
12PM- Lunch around noon as usual. Drivers school folks will rotate into the test/tune course whenever they're ready. We'll play that by ear.
4PM?- We'll probably end runs a little earlier than what's typical for race days.
4:30PM?- Drink beer or alternative refreshing beverage.

For the test/tune runs, we're going to have run groups just like race days. Everyone that runs will also work a tiny bit. We'll have minimal course workers required, so we'll probably rotate people from each run group in/out. The purpose of this is to avoid what happened last time (helpful folks getting stuck out there for hours). The plan is to keep each heat to less than an hour.

We'll probably leave the big course open for the Driver's school, and test/tune on either Barn or Gravel. I'll provide an update on that a day or two prior.

Now go get registered on DLB! We're very short on Saturday so far.

All:
As we began doing in the spring, you have the option of ordering a catered lunch from Jordan Springs Market. This is available for Sat and/or Sun, but you do need to register for them separately. Ie. if you do not have a season subscription and you want to do both days, you will need to click and register at all 4 links below. And now I am off to go register.

I registered earlier today for the Driver's School. I'm quite excited, but as a newbie, still a bit nervous, haha.

I saw that and was wondering whose '11 rex that was.

You should be fine. Those of use with beaters that drive like asshats on course are the ones who risk slight damage. If you don't drive like an asshat, the car will be fine. Though you may want to remove the front clip since we all know that those are attached to the 08+ cars by nothing more than pixie dust and wishful thinking, lol...
