To those saying he's too young, look at it this way: he's older than most of the girls who are getting married just a little ways to the south in Hildale. And if the marriage doesn't work out, he doesn't need to get divorced. He can go the southern Utah way and just pick up a second 'spiritual' bride.

You do know we're from Utah right? Like 90% of my friends from high school are married, and I'm only 23. Probably 75% of them have at least 2 kids too.

I think that number is exaggerated a bit to be honest. Also, something something, friends jumped off a bridge, something something, do it too?

Congrats, good luck, and be open minded to all your about to learn. I know I have learned a shiz load in my one year of marriage. As for stats who cares. Know this majority of people who get divorced are no better off in 5 years.

Yeah, I grew up LDS too, from AZ strong LDS in the state. So I know that kids are pressured into marriage so they dont have or at the very least marry so they can have sex. It leads kids to marry for all the wrong reasons and to very unhappy marriages at that. Just my 2 cents. And for the Kid married since 16 that is just sick.

As far as "kids" being pressured to marry so they can have sex etc.. i somewhat agree, however disagree also because if a "kid" wants to have sex bad enough why wouldn't they just do it? Instead of going through all the work/drama/money etc for a wedding? im not calling you out or saying you are wrong but thats just my opinion cause i surely know im not getting married just so i can have sex. and i also to grew up in a LDS family.

Spend some time in Provo. There are plenty of LDS people who get married so they can have sex.
