Default HELP! Motorcycle Stolen!

Someone stole my bike today. Please please please keep an eye out for it! Candy Red 2008 Yamaha YZF-R1. HID headlights, Race baffles in the stock exhaust (quite loud), license plate KR1MSN. Stolen from Kingsman road in Dale City sometime today. The battery was dead so they likely strong-armed it into a truck with multiple guys.

if you see it anywhere, please contact me (571-232-1334) or the authorities immediately.

thanks.

And it begins...

Post it up on dcsportbikes.net. More sportbike folks to keep an eye open. Also, troll auction sites with partial VIN searches.

Wow that's really not cool. Sorry man. Wish I could help, but I'll keep an eye out regardless. Where was your bike parked?

In my driveway. Covered.

It had to have been someone who has seen it often enough and seen my house and my room mates' cars often enough to know when they were all gone.

They likely won't find it.

Full coverage insurance should help out greatly...

Hahaha yes. At least that public forum came together to throw my bikes picture all over. SpecOneSociety on FB shared it EVERYWHERE.

I'm more interested in criminal persecution of the guilty parties than getting my (mistreated/abused) bike back at this point.

Neither are likely to happen, however.

For some reason, a lot of bikes stolen out of VA end up in PG county and Waldorf.....

Hell, I've seen dudes riding hot bikes. Screw driver in the ignition and all.....

But yea, get insurance going and start shopping for a replacement. It most likely isn't going to be returned in one piece, if at all.

Yeah, he's right. My friend got his ass whooped and bike stolen when he went to meet a guy to sell it. They ended up finding half of it in Baltimore city, half of the parts in PG.

Don't even get me started on Bmore...

I wouldn't sell a bike in PG or Bmore without a second person carrying and another person unmarked watching....carrying. Even then I still would be suspect. How do you think the 12 o'clock boyz got their dirt bikes, paying for them? LOL!

Anyway, enough ramblings on bikes.

Sorry to hear this!! I had my R6 stolen two years ago, it never was recovered. I then took a beating on it with the insurance company. Hopefully your situation turns out much better then mine did!!

That figures. Someone must have cased your bike closely. Def. not cool. Hope your insurance covers you.

Its been a while since ive posted, but this thread caught my eye. You guys are on point with bikes ending up in PG County. A guy i know had his stolen from Arlington and ended up at a police impound in 1000 pieces ready to part out. They caught the guys. Dont look for trucks. They use minivans with the rear seats out and just pick up the bike and toss it into the back. Sports bikes are targetted cuz they weigh less and 3-4 guys can easily pick it up. Glad my harley weighs damn near 800 lbs

Sorry about your loss but if you see any shady tinted out crappy van rolling around with maryland plates thats what to look for.
