Aki's Autobody in Ballard. They do excellent work. Ask for Kevin and tell him that Paul sent you.

They're pretty chill... do good work... and have become acclimated to Subaru enthusiasts. BB |

I know you're looking for Seattle area, but this is a general warning for those in the south end...
Stay AWAY from Lacey Autobody. We took the '92 Legacy back in something like 7 times to get them to fix it right (after my cow-splatting) and we finally gave up and paid another shop to get it fixed. On one trip in they left the cap off the brake fluid resevior... I found it a couple days later after an extended trip with a fly floating in it. Just say no! |

Most shops charge like $100-200 for a single piece because it's a lot of work. When you spray the whole car you don't have to worry about colors matching exactly. Just sand, tape, and spray. When it's just one piece they have to mix the paint, apply it to something, let it dry, verify it matches, sand the part, (if it's still on the car) tape, spray, blend, etc. It's harder to get an exact match, and they charge you for it.
