Default Karlton Fender Flare Thread - *Not other flares or DIY*

I know there's enough members now running these, let's show 'em off!

OG Thread with TONS of information and install pics
http://www.iwsti.com/forums/gd-exter...ton-flare.html

GREAT read on how to install from the one and only
http://t3hclap.com/archives/552/comment-page-1

Some info on hardware used by some members for installing the flares
Apetron
Here are the Olander part numbers for what I ordered:

AKS4-420-260 Nutsert
ALS4-420-165 Nutsert
AA184-420 Nutsert install tool
25C100BHCS 1" Button Head screw
25C50BHCS 1/2" Button Head screw

The larger nutsert was used on the plastic areas (bumper covers)
The smaller nutsert was used on the metal areas

Some members have been having issues using www.Olander.com so you can also try www.olandercorp.com

I'd be interested in seeing some install photos as well. Are you guys cutting the fenders up a lot or just trimming?

my flares should be coming back from paint next week. ill post some pictures. The installation is unnerving and requires cutting that you cannot come back from.

I followed this thread. Cutting and forming the rears were the toughest part of the process for me. You will need to bear in mind you need to cut enough of the rears to fit your wheels... and by doing so, the outer panel will separate from the inner thicker metal, and will need to be either welded or sealed back together to prevent moisture from occurring. Cutting the fronts are no big deal. I would advise you to be comfortable with drilling and installing nutserts or have someone whom is if you will be taking on this project. Also, the nutserts do not sit in the plastic bumpers so you will simply need a bolt, washer, and nut to secure the flare pieces which adjoin to the plastic bumpers. the biggest word of advice is to MEASURE MULTIPLE TIMES AND CUT ONCE!
